Hey Monsters! It’s finally summer break, which also means lots of fun summer events to look forward to! I’m so excited to work alongside my board during break to plan and create an enjoyable term for you guys. I also can’t wait to get to know every single one of you guys :) Make sure to come out and have some fun at our upcoming summer socials and other fun events to come!

Congratulations, Monsters! We made it to the end of the school year. I made this month’s newsletter theme Sanrio Summer because summer is here (obviously) and I love Sanrio, especially Pochacco. Sorry if you think I got too lazy with the background and design, I am currently going through my finals week. Fun fact: This newsletter features another LC club! you have to read further to find out...Things I’m looking forward to this summer are AP scores release, staying up late, and summer DCMs! I hope that everyone who is reading this will have a great summer.

Vietnamese Culture Club was given the opportunity to perform at the Asian Pacific Cultural Festival at District 56 on May 4. Despite unfortunate weather along with stage issues, we were able to adapt and still had fun! Some members had said that despite the issues that had been encountered, they still enjoyed performing all of the songs that VCC has learned as well as performed before. Although the stage wasn’t as big as we hoped, we were able to adapt, and improvise along the way, which led to mishaps in the performance, but it did end up way better than we thought it would be. Even after the performance, we were still able to laugh at the minor mistakes, and have fun walking around the vendors afterwards.

what a year it’s been! i absolutely can’t believe that monster met gala + may dcm was my LAST key club event ever. it was such a bittersweet feeling planning and hosting this event. on one hand, i was relieved to finally retire after several months of hard work, grit, and commitment. on the other hand, dcm planning was one of my absolute favorite parts of serving as an ltg, and it would never get this experience again. nonetheless, i was happy that so many monsters turned up to this event to celebrate our division’s accomplishments throughout this term. there were so many awards to give, medals to congratulate with, performances to watch, and sentimental feelings to go around. i am most definitely proud of how this event came to be, and i cannot thank our outgoing members enough for showing their Key Club spirit one last time. While I have officially retired as an LTG, I am so excited to see what the 2025-2026 term has to offer for Division 7 South.
