At each quarterly meeting, select Ambassadors are recognized for their commitment and service to the Chamber. Honors include Ambassador of the Month, Ambassador of the Quarter, and Ambassador of the Year, with recipients selected based on attendance at required events and overall involvement in the Ambassador Program This recognition highlights outstanding dedication to member engagement and support of the Chamber’s mission.

Role & Requirements

Connecting Leaders, Building Community

Role:

As an Ambassador, you are the welcoming face of the Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce, representing the organization at events such as Business After Hours, 60-Minute Coffees, Ribbon Cuttings, and other signature gatherings. You help new and existing members feel supported, connected, and engaged with the Chamber community.

Beyond events, you play a key role in membership growth and engagement, fostering relationships, sharing Chamber resources, and promoting the Chamber’s mission throughout the region. You serve as an advocate, mentor, and connector helping to create a vibrant, inclusive business community where members can thrive.

Through your enthusiasm, professionalism, and leadership, you strengthen the Chamber’s impact and ensure every member experiences the full value of their membership.

Requirements:

The Ambassador term spans one calendar year (February 2026 – January 2027). The annual Ambassador Committee fee is $100 per person and is nonrefundable.

Applications and fees must be submitted by January 9, 2026. Your company must be a Montgomery Regional Chamber member in good standing for you to serve as an Ambassador If you choose to run for public office during your term, you must resign from the Ambassador Program.

You must have your employer’s permission to participate in the program. Ambassadors must recruit at least one (1) new Chamber member during their term.

All Ambassadors are expected to assist with new member recruitment, new member deliveries, ribbon-cutting photo deliveries, retention visits, mentor initiatives, and other engagement opportunities that arise. Ambassadors must sign in at all required events. Sign-in sheets will be located at registration tables or the main entrance. Credit will not be given without signing in.

Ambassadors are required to wear business attire at all events. Name badges must be worn. The Chamber will provide one (1) badge at the start of the year; additional badges may be purchased for $30 (payment required before ordering).

Ambassador Event Responsibilities

Ambassadors play a key role in fostering connections within the Chamber community Your responsibilities include:

Networking: Engage with fellow Chamber members and introduce new members to existing members during events.

Inclusive Engagement: Approach and connect with attendees you haven’t met, especially those who may be standing alone.

Event Etiquette: When formal remarks begin, kindly conclude your conversations and assist in encouraging others to do the same, ensuring a respectful and attentive environment

New Member Bags & Ribbon Cutting Photos

Ambassadors are responsible for delivering new member packets and ribbon cutting photos to Chamber members. This includes welcoming new members, ensuring they understand the resources and support available, and representing the Chamber with professionalism and warmth

Procedure:

Pick up packets and photos at the Montgomery Regional Chamber office, located at 600 South Court Street.

Delivery Deadline: Packets must be delivered within three (3) business days of receiving email confirmation from Rhonda Figh (rfigh@montgomerychamber.com).

Upon delivery:

Ask for the designated contact person listed on the packet. Welcome the member to the Chamber.

Review the contents of the packet and highlight upcoming networking events. Thank them for their Chamber membership and offer assistance with any questions or needs.

Please note: Success of the Chamber Ambassador program is dependent upon your dedicated participation; therefore, Ambassadors who do not fulfill the above requirements will be asked to resign.

Communication & Notifications

Chamber staff and/or the Ambassador Chair will share important information regarding upcoming events, ribbon cuttings, volunteer opportunities, and program updates primarily through email To ensure you receive all notifications in a timely manner, please add the following email addresses to your Safe Senders list in Outlook:

Regularly checking your email and staying up to date on these communications is essential for fulfilling your Ambassador responsibilities and remaining engaged with Chamber activities. Prompt responses to event confirmations or requests for support help the Chamber plan effectively and ensure a seamless experience for both members and Ambassadors
