Ialsoinvited Jimmie Hargraves and his bride Rebecca whom I already had invited to lunch, but they were able to change restaurants on a dime, since I’m doing a Veteran of the WeeksegmentonJimmie. He is new to 105, but he’s been aroundanddonehistime,and we love him. Rebecca says she’s from Stink-a-dena (Pasadena), although born in Conroe,shehasnoticedsince moving back, that she is a lot healthier Imagine that. She isabeautifullady,andJimmie isaveryluckyman. Sittingatthetable,with conversations going this way and that, it's amazing that anything was communicated. Cole announced that the Wisecrack Warriors are now anofficial501(c)(3),whichis amazing,meaningthatweare working on spreading our cheery attitudes to other Veteran organizations across
TexasandtheNation. Andit's not about making money since we are all stable in that respect but any monies collected will be donated to Veterans organizations or charities. And to be a part of that,tobeonthegroundlevel of Wisecrackery is nothing shortofamazing,andtoplaya role in the healing of ground pounders, old salts, jarheads, flyguys, and coasties; well, it can be life-changing. I still get ribbed about that time I drove three Vietnam Veterans to Fort Polk, Louisiana, to reminisce about their Basic Training Days We stopped in DeRidder, at the Brookshire Brothers there south of the base. I got to talking with my friend Jimmie Hargraves sitting next to me at lunch, explaining the soothing nature of the 105 Group. He is a Vietnam, as well as Operation Desert Storm Veteran. Incredibly, Jimmie was near retirement in late 1990 and was given the choice to retire, or be deployedtoOperationDesert Shield Hargraves didn’t wimp out, and he traveled withhisfellowsoldierstothe desert We exchanged experiences following the 1991conflict,andlikemanya Veteran of that time, we all had issues. One Wisecrack stunt I pulled on Harvey when I arrivedatFabPhowastopark

Idid a lot of driving by looking at the driver's side mirror and with steady hands at the wheel. Anyway, when it came to leave, it had started raininghard,andwhenIwent tostartmycar,Ididn’trealize my battery had gone kaput. The rain was so loud that I couldn’t hear the clicking indicativeofaweakbattery I had to go back to the restaurant and explain to Harvey that my car wouldn’t start, and then I realized he’d have another story to tell everyone about how crazy I canbe. IinitiallycalledAAA, but when the rain stopped, I went back out to try and start the car, that’s when Richard grabbed the jumper cable from his truck. I thought it funnytoseeHarveygetinhis truck via the passenger's side havingtocontorthimselfover thetruck’sconsolefindinghis

I had jokingly rubbed Harvey s abdomeninacircularmotion as if praising Buda during lunch, then I really prayed in seeing Yaw, heave and haw, nottostrainanymuscleinhis contortions, because I didn’t really rub anything below his belly button.
