MALINDA DEROUEN

LOVE LETTER TO CARMEL, VOL. 2 9

Malinda is honored to be back with Monterey Symphony making beautiful music and memories in the Forest. A lifelong performer of music and theatre, Malinda has appeared as an actor and singer throughout the Monterey Peninsula and Bay Area, gracing the stages of musical venues as well as theatrical playhouses. She is currently playing Mary Poppins with PacRep at the Forest Theater. Her favorite roles include Eva Peron in Evita and Roxie Hart in Chicago with The Western Stage, and Lady of the Lake in Spamalot and Siobhan in Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time with PacRep. Beyond the Peninsula, Malinda was an understudy to multiple roles in San Francisco’s long running music revue Beach Blanket Babylon, and has toured with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and El Teatro Campesino. Malinda would like to thank her husband and parents for their continued support as she explores all avenues of vocal expression.

A San Francisco Conservatory of Music alumni and Monterey local, Justin Gaudoin has performed the lead roles of Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), Beast (Beauty and the Best), Hamlet (Hamlet), Che (Evita), Aldolpho (The Drowsy Chaperone), Don Quixote (Man of La Mancha), Leading Player (Pippin), and Escamillo (La Tragédie de Carmen). He has been teaching private voice lessons to all ages and experience levels for the past 5 years in Monterey, and thanks to online learning, he has students throughout the country. His other passion is painting; he recently painted a commission of 6 paintings for Gordon Getty. JUSTIN GAUDOIN
