Q: What are some of the biggest life lessons you share with your team?

A: Reassuring them that baseball is such a small part of your whole life. It’s not the end of the world if something doesn’t go your way. It’s one sporting event. The way you handle yourself goes with you your whole life. I think telling them that the most important thing is to keep your chin up and hold your composure. Whether you are winning or losing, you present yourself with dignity. There will be good days and bad days.

Q: What are some of your favorite things to do in the area besides real estate and coaching baseball?

A: My wife and I love to take long walks through town and along Scenic Road by the beach, go hiking, or pop down to Big Sur. We had been coming down here vacationing for 35 years and all of a sudden, we decided this is the place to live.

Q: How was your transition to Carmel Realty Company and Monterey Coast Realty?

A: The collaboration is remarkable. As soon as I met the owners, Dan and Shelly Lynch, I knew this was the place for me. Agents here do a tremendous amount of business but there isn’t an attitude. People are humble and nice. The agent support staff is by far the best I’ve ever experienced.
