Keeping it Real

Eight Sundays to Christmas WRITTEN BY BLAIR FJESETH

There are eight Sundays between the beginning of November and Christmas Eve and, this year, I plan on using these days to dive deeper with my children into gratitude and how we can express it. ‘Tis the season, right?! I chose Sundays because they are a lazy day in our house – one not filled with sports, school, chaos or other activities. This will give us the appropriate amount of time to dedicate to this effort. Hopefully, this will be a fun way to countdown to Christmas, start a deeper dialogue about the meaning of gratitude and instill in our children the importance of being thankful and showing it. Please join along, and share suggestions and adaptations your family comes up with along the way.

To Start:

Find an age-appropriate poem or book about gratitude. Pose the question, “What do you think gratitude means?” Be sure to either write this down or make a mental note. It will be fun to compare the answers from the beginning with the ones given at the end of the eight weeks.

Ç Sunday, November 5 “Kick-Off” (City/Town/State)

The saying “If you’re lucky enough to live in Montana, well then, you are lucky enough,” rings true. And what better way to show gratitude to our city, town and state than by helping keep her beautiful. Pick a spot that you love and clean up trash and litter. Knowing my kids, they will make it into a competition and mess around with the trash grabbers, but somewhere in there, I hope to talk with them about the importance of caring for the places we love.

Ç Sunday, November 12 (Family Donation)

Work as a family to plan a “gift.” This can be something along the lines of gathering unused blankets, buying toiletries and donating to a shelter, organizing a neighborhood food drive or, perhaps, volunteering as a family to a place like the humane society or the soup kitchen. The goal is to work as a family to plan what you are doing and when (before December 24).

Ç Sunday, November 19 (Family & Friends)

To ring in Thanksgiving, have your child make a card or write a letter to someone they are thankful for. Make sure to have them list why they are grateful for that person. Hand deliver or pop it in the mail to ensure it arrives by Turkey Day!

Ç Sunday, November 26 (Financial Donation)

This one is assigned to the last Sunday in November, but will be due by December 24 (at least in my house). I am giving each of my children money. You can decide what is suitable for your family, but the goal is for them to donate the money to a cause, charity or person in need. They need to share who they gave it to, why and how it made them feel.

Ç Sunday, December 3 (Individual Giving)

We have so much stuff that goes unused or played with. Now is the time to allow others to find joy in what we no longer use. Have your child go through items and find clothes, books and toys to donate. This isn’t a, “Give X, and we will buy new toys for Christmas” situation. This is about giving because it feels good to help others. My kids will likely choose many of their books, and my challenge to them will be to

find someone at school who they know might like the book. I will have my kids write a note to that student about why they enjoyed the book and that they hope this person likes it too. Other items can be donated to a second-hand store or even acquaintances you know who might love them.

Ç Sunday, December 10 (Elderly)

Can you believe we live in a world where some of our elderly are completely forgotten? I can’t either. This year, my kids will be making cards and collecting items from the dollar store to give to those at the retirement homes in town. Things I’ve found that go over well are socks with grips, fuzzy socks, crafts and large-font word searches, Sudoku and crossword puzzles.

Ç Sunday, December 17 (educators)

This is likely the last week your child will have school or daycare before a break. Have them think of something nice they can do for someone at school. This could be a teacher, a para or a playground monitor. Let your child devise a way to share gratitude with a card, small gift or drawing.

Ç Sunday, December 24 (Neighbors or Strangers)

Challenge kids to think of a random act of kindness they can do for the people who live around them. Maybe shoveling the driveway for an elderly neighbor, scraping ice off of healthcare workers’ cars, baking cookies and delivering them to someone down the street or dropping off a holiday card. Kids are creative, and I have no doubt they will find great ways to share gratitude with our street.

Ç Wrapping it up

Ask your kids what “gratitude means to them” and what they have enjoyed or learned most throughout these eight weeks. I plan on giving each of my kids a handwritten note about how grateful I am for them, pointing out a few specifics from the last 8 weeks and where I saw them grow and shine.

Celebrating 40 years in Bozeman, the one and only original MBC’s Nutcracker returns to the Willson Auditorium on December 2 and 3. In tradition, MBC is thrilled to welcome exceptional guest artists to its cast of more than 100 community dancers. This year from the renowned New York City Ballet, Indiana Woodward and Sebastián Villarini-Vélez will perform both the Snow and Sugar Plum pas de deux. Also joining the cast is Bozeman favorite Soren Kisiel in the role of Drosselmeyer. The part of Clara will be danced by MBC Company Dancers Dulcinéa Johnston and Ruby Weinberg. MBC will once again collaborate with the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra playing Tchaikovsky’s beloved score. Maestro Lee Mills, an internationally recognized conductor and five-time winner of the Solti Foundation U.S. Career Assistance Award, will conduct. MBC is also delighted to partner with the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter to promote animal adoptions. HOV’s mission is to compassionately shelter the lost and surrendered pets of Gallatin and Madison Valleys, and to enhance the lives of people and companion animals through pet adoption and education. Spectacular Ring in the Holidays with the Bozeman Symphony and Symphonic Choir DECEMBER 15-17, 2023 The tradition continues with the Bozeman Symphony’s annual Holiday Spectacular December 15 to 17. This concert includes favorite festive classics like Sleigh Ride, the Christmas Carol Sing-Along and more. The performance features guest vocalist Jimmie Herrod, an “America’s Got Talent” finalist, and the Bozeman Symphonic Choir. ‘tis the Season

Prioritizing Self-Care During the Holidays WRITTEN BY SARA SILVA

I’m sure many of us can remember the Christmas carol admonishing us that the holiday season is a time to be jolly…before it launches into a long to-do list. The holiday season (regardless of religion and whether we celebrate or not) often poses a mental health challenge to all in the northern hemisphere. The colder weather, shorter days and media barrage of expectations all come together to shake our emotional snow globe into a frenzy of emotions. For parents, the stresses of the holiday season are exponentially multiplied by the expectations of our own parents, of our social circles and of our children (whether these come directly from our children or from ourselves). We want so much to make this a magical holiday experience that it can be easy to forget ourselves in the shuffle. Quick! Take a deep belly breath in and slowly let it out—breathe…We can reclaim the magic of the holidays, really focus on what matters, and arrive at the end of the season without wanting to hibernate for the rest of the winter. Just a few, deceivingly simple steps can help you and your family focus on what matters —having each other.

Tap into the Magic

Take a quiet moment to think back to when you were a child. What made the holiday season special for you? What sticks out most in your mind? Was it taking a family drive at night to see the holiday light displays in your community? Hot cocoa with your family in front of a crackling fire? Going sledding on a frosty day? Visiting the reindeer at Murdoch’s? Jot down the first few things that come to mind —the things that give you a real sense of the joy and, yes magic, of the holiday season.

If thoughts of past holidays bring up uncomfortable feelings for you, talk to caring friends about their experiences or think about what you have always wanted to do and experience. What would make this holiday season special for you today?

Prioritize

Now, here comes the crucial step: What on your list is the most important to you? This step may take some time, don’t worry. Check in with your partner, children, family and friends —what really matters to them and makes the holidays special? This doesn’t mean that everyone’s desires will make it into your family’s holiday plan but it is important that each family member’s voice gets heard. At the same time, honestly balance these priorities against your energy level, your economic well-being, and your mental health. You can always start small and add (or take away) additional events to your plan. The goal is to have a plan for the holidays that feels comfortable and doable for you and your family. This will allow you to be present for the magical sprinkles of the season that can be so easily missed when we are exhausted and overwhelmed.

Keep the Pressures at Bay

OK, the plan is in place. Great! Stick to it while recognizing that it may be important to make adjustments as you move through the season. Don’t beat yourself up if you add too much or have to take things out of the plan. It’s a learning journey, tomorrow is a new day and we can carry the lessons we learn to our next holiday plan.

Let’s address those stressful pressure trolls hiding behind every corner during this time of year. The best way to make them, poof, disappear, is to not give them any attention. The 36th annual Intermountain Festival of Trees will transform the Helena Civic Center into a “Forest of Dreams” Kick off the holiday season with five days of festivities at the annual fundraiser for Intermountain, which provides mental and behavioral health services to children and families in Helena, Bozeman, Billings and across Montana. Family Days takes place at the Helena Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 2 and 3. Kids can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorate cookies, create crafts in Funland and watch live performances of local talent in the auditorium. Throughout the week, families can stroll through the stunningly decorated ballroom trees and enjoy the splendor of the mezzanine full of trees and wreaths decorated by community members, and gift baskets generously donated by local businesses. Bid on the silent auction items all week long through Intermountain’s mobile-bidding app and cast your vote for your favorite creation in the first-ever Gingerbread Extravaganza baking competition.

Other events include: Ç Tea in the Trees – Wednesday, November 29, where hosts and hostesses create table spreads that are true works of art and guests enjoy lunch, raffles and live music.

17th Annual Huffing for Stuffing Race Set for Thanksgiving Morning HRDC’s annual Huffing For Stuffing race is slated to begin with a Kids’ Run at 8 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, which will be followed by 5K and 10K races, and a 5K fun run. A virtual 5K run/walk option is also available. On this unique holiday dedicated to celebrating the harvest’s bounty while expressing gratitude for one’s abundance, race participants from across the region join HRDC in its mission to help ensure no one goes to bed hungry. The friendly competition also provides a platform for HRDC to discuss the prevalence of food insecurity in our community with all race proceeds supporting a variety of efforts to combat hunger across Gallatin Valley and beyond. While it may be difficult for some to imagine, the increased demand for help with groceries and food is closely tied with southwest Montana’s rapid population growth and the accompanying affordable housing crisis. Last year, nearly two million pounds of food were distributed to area residents and partners helping to feed approximately 3,214 individuals each month.

The race is held every Thanksgiving morning at the iconic Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman and there is an event for almost everyone. Race registration continues through 7 p.m. on November 22 at the Gallatin Valley Fairgrounds. Details are available at www. huffingforstuffing.com. More than $5000 in prizes for runners, schools and teams! The Bozeman Schools Foundation will once again host its family-friendly 5K road race on the morning of December 2, 2023. The Santa Run for Education is the primary fundraiser for the Bozeman Schools Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that works with local businesses, nonprofit organizations and community members to promote academic excellence, foster teaching innovation, recognize students of character and connect students in Bozeman Public Schools to the community in ways that matter. A celebration of the essential partnership between public schools and their community, the Santa Run for Education brings hundreds of people to the streets of Bozeman as the first official event of the annual Downtown Christmas Stroll. With prizes for serious and not-so-serious runners, the Santa Run is a great way to kick off the holiday season and show your support for public education. Thanks to strong support from local businesses this year, there will be more prizes awarded than ever:

Ç Race Champion: Bridger Orthopedic, is underwriting cash prizes which will be awarded to the top three overall male and female race finishers.

Ç Schools Champion: Bozeman’s Rib & Chop House, will be providing $1,000 to the parent associations at each of three schools with the greatest participation in the Santa Run, based on the percentage of total school enrollment.

Argentine Ballet Star to Dance in

Yellowstone Ballet Company’s The

Nutcracker Lucas Segovia stars in Yellowstone Ballet Company’s 32nd annual production of Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic The Nutcracker, Sunday, December 10 at 1 and 4:30 p.m. at the Willson Auditorium. He will perform the roles of the Nutcracker Prince and the Cavalier. Originally from Buenos Aires, Segovia joined Ballet Argentina as a soloist under Julio Bocca’s direction. He was promoted to Principal Dancer shortly after and was the only dancer performing a solo piece in Bocca’s farewell performance for over 300,000 people and broadcasted on national TV. As for knowing when he wanted to dance, Segovia said, “It caught me by surprise. It was a matter of luck. I didn’t start dancing until I was 16 after a female friend (who was a jazz dancer) convinced me to watch some dancing.” While watching, Segovia realized something. “It wasn’t a girly thing. There were a lot of guys taking classes, and the teacher was a man. I thought, ‘Why not? I’ll give it a try.’ In countries where cultures are not so stimulated it’s hard to say, ‘I want to be a dancer’ and make a living doing it. But I was able to do it.” When asked what dance means to him, Segovia said, “Passion. The reason that I’m in this country and far away from my family is passion. It’s a way for me to express myself; it’s the best way to say what I want to say.” This passion has taken Segovia to major theaters in the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Russia and Cuba, among other places. Segovia has been a part of The Washington Ballet and of Morphoses/ The Wheeldon Company, directed by Christopher Wheeldon. He also danced with The Joffrey Ballet for six seasons, performing in virtually the entire repertoire of the company as a soloist or principal dancer. Lucas has danced works by choreographers like Balanchine, Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, Christopher Wheeldon, Wayne McGregor, Alexei Ratmansky, William Forsythe and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, among many others. Throughout his career Segovia has danced in more than 400 cities around the globe, performing in some of the most important venues for dance in the world and has been awarded with the Premio Clarin, the most prestigious recognition for the Arts in Argentina.

Joining Segovia is Bozeman native Molly Groeschl. She trained with Main Street Dance Theater under the direction of Dana Sorg. Molly went on to train at Pacific Northwest Ballet, American Ballet Theater NYC, Orlando Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Ballet West. She has performed professionally with Ballet Tucson, Ballet West, Milwaukee Ballet, Colorado Ballet and Madison Ballet. She holds a B.F.A. in Ballet Performance from the University of Utah. Enhancing the production are the School of Classical Ballet Company, Billings, Bridger View Ballet Center and Circus Center of Bozeman/406CIRQUE. To encourage families to attend, every adult ticket purchase qualifies for a free child’s ticket. Children can also attend as a Nutcracker character and compete for one of three gift certificates from the Rocky Mountain Toy Company. The costume contest will occur during intermission and every participant will receive a small gift. YBC is under the artistic direction of founder Kathleen Rakela, a recipient of the Montana Arts Council Fellowship for the Performing Arts. The innovative company has been featuring local, national and international dance talent in the Park, Sweet Grass and Gallatin counties since 1990. Rakela also runs the Yellowstone Ballet Academy. Her students have received scholarships to worldclass ballet training centers and have danced professionally around the world. 55th Annual Ski Swap NOVEMBER 4 & 5, 2023 Bridger Ski Foundation’s (BSF) 55th Annual Ski Swap will take place November 4 and 5 at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman. Steeped in tradition, the event attracts local legends and newcomers alike, with more than 10,000 items for sale. Skiers and riders will find equipment ranging from cross-country skis to fat powder skis, snowboards, poles, backpacks, helmets, boots, winter clothing and more. In addition to consignment items from individuals, the Ski Swap also carries both new and used inventory from local retailers. For those who want to make room for new gear, you can preregister all of your consignment items online and then drop everything off on Friday, November 3 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds. All sales take place in person, and BSF retains a 20% commission on sold items. You can pick up any unsold items at the end of the day on Sunday. Bridger Ski Foundation expects 5,000 people to come through the swap throughout the weekend. “It’s a ski swap, but it’s also a celebration,” says BSF Communications Director Jenny White. “People willingly (and cheerfully) stand in line—some of them hours before the doors open.” You will also find local organizations and sponsors with information tables and giveaways. BSF will once again award $50 Golden Tickets to local youth. With thousands of items going out the door, this is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit club, which provides ski programs for more than 1,000 youth and adults and also grooms a vast network of community Nordic ski trails, including snowmaking at Sunset Hills. “For BSF, the Ski Swap is also a community service. It gives the people of Montana easy access to more affordable ski gear. Instead of things gathering dust in someone’s garage for 20 years, we’re getting those items circulating back into the community.” 36

It is natural to feel concerned if your child is sick or injured and needs to undergo an imaging study, such as ultrasound, X-ray, CT or MRI. As a parent, your top priority is your child’s well-being; and the same is true for us at Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI) in Bozeman. As a musculoskeletal radiologist at AMI, I can offer insight into how our care team helps to ensure your child’s safety and comfort during the imaging experience.

What is a Musculoskeletal Radiologist?

Radiologists are medical doctors who are specialty trained to use medical imaging such as X-rays, MRIs, CT-scans, and ultrasounds to diagnose illnesses, diseases and injuries. Most AMI radiologists have additional fellowship specialized training in treating different areas of the body. Musculoskeletal radiologists are experts in imaging and diagnosing injuries and diseases of bones, joints, muscles and

soft tissues in patients of all ages – from newly-pregnant moms and kids injured on the playground to the dads that caught an edge following them down Hully Gully and grandmas who tweaked their knee hiking Hyalite last weekend. AMI has the largest and most experienced group of musculoskeletal radiologists in the state of Montana, all of whom have an in-depth understanding of pediatric musculoskeletal development. Our training and experience allow us to provide more accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment recommendations for your family.

Low-dose Radiation

A common concern among parents is the amount of radiation their child may be exposed to from X-ray or CT. In general, the risk of radiation from medical imaging is small. At AMI we take extra precautions to minimize the risks. The fully automated X-ray equipment is optimized for the lowest dose needed to capture a high-quality digital image. Additionally, we follow the radiation protection principles of As Low as Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) to reduce the dose and risk as much as possible. Our CT scans for children have specifically designed protocols to reduce radiation and risk. MRI and ultrasound do not use any radiation.

At the AMI Cottonwood location, we have taken further steps to ensure a positive pediatric imaging experience. Our kind, caring and experienced technologists fully discuss the procedure and try to address any concerns parents and children have before any exam begins. When your child walks into the pediatric X-ray room, the walls are papered to look like a forest and the area is filled with the sound of birds chirping to create a welcoming and calming environment for our young patients while technologists perform the imaging exam. Most X-ray exams and CTs are completed in a few minutes, however MRIs can take longer, approximately half an hour. For younger children, we work with the primary doctor and parents to create the most positive MRI experience. Additionally, our MRIs have the capability of playing a patient's music of choice throughout the exam to further improve the experience. Understanding and addressing your child’s emotions during their imaging visit is crucial to making the experience as positive as possible, and AMI strives to partner with parents and children to achieve that goal. Childhood is a whirlwind of activity and heightened emotion that comes with exponential social and emotional growth. Add to that the challenges of navigating academic expectations and a shifting worldview and the result is an exciting, delicate and sometimes turbulent time. As educators, we need to try to overlook every meltdown, classroom disruption and eye roll and see it as an opportunity to slow down and dig just a little deeper. For neurodiverse children, this can be an especially challenging period. At Montana Science Center, we see students’ desire for a safe space to ask the biggest of questions, experiment and learn through play. Sometimes this means diving headfirst into a child’s specific curiosities (just a couple of weeks ago, my coworker spent most of an hour demonstrating a makeshift gizzard to an interested student), and other times this simply means providing a quiet place to explore a special interest. Our observations working in a science education center tell us that a considerable percentage of the children we teach fall under the umbrella of neurodiversity. Like all other passionate educators, we are constantly evaluating and tinkering with our methods. What may the best practices be for preventing overstimulation in an informal education setting? Where is the line between frustration that helps children grow, and frustration that is detrimental to their interest in learning? While there are no one-size-fits-all answers to these enormous questions, we gather the small and seemingly unrelated clues that children give to us. While the weather grows cooler and we begin to make our holiday plans, we’re keeping in mind the fundamental pieces that must fit together to create the most enriching formative experiences for all children. From Black Hole Friday to Noon Year’s Eve, we will evaluate and adjust and then re-evaluate and readjust— just as the scientific method requires. The countdown to a new year has started, and we look forward to continuing our development of hands-on learning, as well as flipping the calendar on a new year of discovery and science-based joy. When you think about careers in the field of agriculture, jobs in production agriculture probably come to mind first—growing crops and raising livestock, etc. However, there are many other careers that center around agricultural practices. Last month, members of the Yellowstone County Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee hosted a tour for Future Farmers of America students to learn more about several unique agricultural careers. “We thought it was important that students in the FFA program start to connect the dots between what they do for FFA projects and being part of the agricultural industry,” said Lindsay Harper, who serves on the YCFB YF&R Committee and is a high school ag teacher in Lockwood. “We considered this a career day where the agricultural teachers and FFA advisors would show the students inspiring options for career choices.” The first stop of the tour was Peak Genetics, formerly Genex, west of Billings. Peak’s team specializes in both dairy and beef cattle genetics, semen production, quality control, cattle management and research and development. Jobs range from lab technician to livestock specialist, data analyst and more. Rook Eastlick, who is in his third year of FFA, said he found the tours interesting because, “They showed a wide span of different careers you can go into other than being a farmer or

rancher. There are many more options to get involved in careers that focus on agriculture. There is a lot of new technology being used in agriculture today, even when working with the mechanical aspect of agriculture.” Eastlick spends time helping on his grandfather’s ranch in Laurel and found Peak Genetics fascinating. “It was interesting to see how they track the cattle genetics. Ranching and cattle are a big part of my life and have built me into who I am today,” he said. After Peak Genetics, the group of 40 traveled south of downtown Billings to Montana Equine, a full-service veterinary clinic. Their veterinarians handle a variety of equine health issues from lameness and reproductive medicine to surgery, internal medicine and preventive care. Kenna Manweiler is in her second year of FFA and especially enjoyed the Montana Equine visit. “We saw a wide range of what you can do for horse and animal care. The staff at Montana Equine explained that we can take what we learn in school and adapt that to the experiences you can have working at a veterinary clinic.” Montana Equine offers educational opportunities and continuing educational courses and internships and externships for veterinary technicians and undergraduate students with equine studies to give students more intensive training.

The final stop was the Miller Coors Beverage Company and grain elevators in Huntley. That location contracts, purchases, processes and ships malt barley for Miller Coors in the U.S. The students observed the process first-hand starting from when farmers unload barley at the facility. The grain is first tested when it arrives for quality, and then samples are tested in the lab to check for other factors and to ensure the seed is viable. After testing, the grain is loaded into rail cars destined for Coors breweries. The students learned about careers offered at the facility, including learning how to fly drones over the farm fields and seasonal work during the fall harvest when the facility is especially busy with the lab testing the grain. “This event provided an excellent opportunity for FFA students to see different aspects of business that are considered agriculture,” said Spencer Drange, chair of the Yellowstone County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee. “The tour went well and the students received a lot of information. We planned it so that these tours correspond as an FFA Career Development Event. We focused this year on livestock and genetics, equine veterinary science and agronomy. The feedback we received from teachers was that they really appreciated what we did with this tour. Our Yellowstone County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee hopes to make this FFA tour an annual event, and next year we will focus on three different CDE topics.” Rebecca Colnar is Director of Public Relations for Montana Farm Bureau and a freelance writer from Custer, Montana.

The Basics of Non-violent Communication

Q: “How do I help my daughter navigate

friendships? She’s only 4 and she has a friend who often says, “You’re not my friend anymore,” and it leaves my daughter so distraught. I’d love some ideas to help her navigate those big emotions surrounding friendship.”

It sounds like your daughter’s experience is very age-appropriate and also very frustrating. Though we may want to save our children from struggles, these can be very powerful teachable moments.

The lessons possible here include:

» Loving yourself no matter what others say. » Communicating your feelings to others (letting them know how you feel when they say things like that).

» And how to set boundaries with someone who has been hurting your feelings.

I would recommend talking with your daughter about the following friendship strategies to build her self-reflection skills, boundaries and communication tools. And, yes, kids as young as 4 can certainly start learning these skills. To dive into it clearly, I’m offering some sample scripts, that lead with asking your child their thoughts first, and then offering a suggestion.

1. How to love yourself no matter what others say: First, ask a question: “When your friend says you aren’t her friend anymore, what thoughts or feelings do you notice in your heart or mind?” Follow with a suggestion: “I wonder if those are times you might want a mantra to repeat in your head, like ‘I know I’m loveable/cool/ amazing, even if she says we aren’t friends.’”

2. How to communicate your feelings and know how to set boundaries: First, ask a question: “I wonder how it feels when your friend says that? And what would you like her to say instead?” Follow with a suggestion: “Here is a three-step recipe for how you could share that with your friend. It’s something grown-ups use in relationships of all kinds (work, marriage, friendships), called “nonviolent communication.”

1. I feel (feeling word) 2. When….(describe the situation that just happened) 3. I’d like/rather… (ask for what you’d like them to do instead)

For example, “I feel sad when you say you aren’t my friend anymore. Win four tickets ($170 value) to MBC’s 40th Anniversary Nutcracker on Saturday, December 2 at 7 p.m. at the Willson Auditorium. MBC’s Nutcracker is a cherished holiday tradition and will feature more than 100 dancers from our community, the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra, and principal guests from the New York City Ballet.
