Montana photographer Bill Kinney specializes in whitetail bucks and has seen his images on the covers of dozens of hunting magazines. But when he spotted this wild turkey hen drinking water at a fountain in a neighbor’s yard, he could not resist. “That’s in the North Hills above Helena. It’s real arid up there, and there was a flock of turkeys that couldn’t stay away from that fountain,” he says. “I’d been photographing them for a few weeks. When I got this particular shot, I thought it was just so comical. It looks like the hen and the angel statue are having a conversation.” n
