Southeast Y Jr. Explorers Co-Lead Counselor Hello, my name is Andrew! I just finished my junior year at Franklin College, where I am pursuing a degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics. This summer I am looking forward to working with such an awesome group of campers! Fun fact: I’m a certified scuba diver and a certified dog lover :)

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, I’m Emma! I just graduated from Bloomington High School South, and I will be attending IUPUI in the fall to pursue a degree in Nursing. This will be my second summer working at the YMCA summer camp, and I am really excited to get to know all of the campers and their families. Looking forward to another great summer!

Mitch

Southeast Y Camp Counselor My name is Mitch, and I attend Bloomington High School South. Next year, I plan on majoring in Biology at Indiana University. This summer, I am looking forward to spending time with my friends before we head off to different colleges. Fun fact: I love adrenaline rushes, which has lead me to sign up for skydiving this summer!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi! I’m Riley, and I’m a student at Bloomington High School South.

This will be my third year as a camp counselor at the Y! I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve always enjoyed working with children and watching them make fun summer memories. I’m looking forward to this summer and the new memories we’ll make!

Southeast Y Jr. Explorers Lead Counselor Hi, my name is Aliya! I attend Boston University and I am majoring in International Relations with a minor in Arabic. I am looking forward to being outside all summer, and I can’t wait for water day. I am excited to meet so many great kids and make meaningful connections!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor My name is Sean, and this is my third year working at the Y! I will be a freshman at IUPUI this fall. I love soccer and listening to all genres of music. My favorite camp experiences as a kid were playing sports and trying new activities/games. I am ooking forward to another great summer with the campers!

Josh

Southeast Y Camp Counselor My name is Josh, and I attend school at Bloomington High School South.

I am distance runner on the school’s cross country and track teams, and I like to play basketball in my free time. I am looking forward to meeting and becoming friends with all ages of campers and am excited to have new adventures.

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, I’m Audrey! I attended Bloomington High School South, and I plan to get my undergraduate degree from IU. I am interested in playing music and running track. My best childhood experience at the Y as running a triathlon with my brother.

I remember he won, and then came back to finish the race with me!

Moya

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, I’m Moya! I just finished my sophomore year at Bloomington High School South. I really love music and the arts; I play piano, violin, and recently joined theater at school. This summer, I’m excited to form great relationships with campers! Fun fact: my mom is French and I have spoken French since I was little!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi! My name is Katherine! I am a student at Bloomington South, and a member of the cross country and track teams. I love playing the piano and baking! I can’t wait for lots of fun games outside, especially water games! I am looking forward to a great summer of camp!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, I’m Ben! I go to Bloomington High School South. At school, I’m in Spanish Club, and at my church, I help in the daycare. I like to ride bikes, hangout with my friends, and play video games. I’m looking forward to making new friends and working with the camp kids, since I always had fun at camp and I want them to as well.

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, my name is Ian. I run cross country and track for Bloomington High School South and am going compete for Purdue University next year. This summer, I’m looking forward to being active and outdoors and having a blast with some cool campers and counselors. Fun fact: I have a double-jointed thumb.

Will

Southeast Y Trailblazers Lead Counselor What’s up, I’m Will! This is my fourth year of camp at the Y, and I’m ready for another fantastic summer. I just finished my freshman year at Indiana University where I’m majoring in Cinema and Media Production. I love playing basketball and having popsicles with the kids. I can’t wait to reunite with and meet all my campers!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, my name is Katie! I just graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associates Degree in Elementary Education. In my free time, I like to play volleyball and read books. I am looking forward to having fun, meeting new people, and making memories this summer!

Fun fact: when I was younger, I wanted to be a hotdog vender.

Southeast Y Specialty Camp Supervisor Hi, I’m Bryce! I just graduated from IU with a Physical Education degree. I’m looking forward to teaching kids that Flamingo Friday should be a nationally respected event... and I suppose making some fun memories for kids and staff. Fun fact: I’m scared of horses, and I am DEATHLY TERRIFIED of turtles!

Yasmin

Southeast Y CIT Supervisor My name is Yasmin, and I am a junior working towards a Secondary Education degree with a concentration in English/Language Arts at Indiana University. In my spare time (when I have any), I enjoy reading and painting. I’m excited for this summer; everything about camp is so great and makes summer so much fun!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hello! My name is Rhianna and I am a graduate student at IU working towards my Master’s in Public Health.

I love dancing, cooking, and exploring hiking trails around Bloomington. I’m so excited for my first year as a camp counselor! I’m most looking forward to bonding with the other counselors and making memories with our campers.

In my free time, I like to play basketball and baseball, and enjoy the sun outdoors. I am looking forward to meeting all the great kids that come to the Y and developing friendships with all my campers!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor My name is Caleb, and I just finished up my freshmen year at Cedarville University in Ohio. I’m majoring in Accounting, and I run both cross country and track for my school. In my free time, I like playing soccer and going to the lake with my friends. I’m very excited to meet the campers I’m going to be working with this summer!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hello, my name is Michael, and this will be my first year working at Camp Arrowhead. I’m currently enrolled at Purdue University. I loved Y camp as a kid and attended camp for eight years.

I can’t wait for the opportunity to be a part of this a great community once again and provide campers with such a wonderful, memorable experience!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, my name is Tina! In the fall, I am attending Indiana University to pursue a degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. While in high school, I was involved with track, yearbook, and Academic Super Bowl.

This summer, I am excited to bond with the kids, play awesome games, and do fun activities!

Southeast Y Challengers Lead Counselor I’m Haley, and this will be my fourth summer as a YMCA Camp Counselor.

I just graduated from IU with a degree in Human Development/Family Studies. I love hiking, hammocking, and Food Truck Friday! As a ginger, I’m a big fan of sunblock; no one is getting burnt on my watch! So lather up! Adventure is out there!

Southeast Y Camp Counselor Hi, I’m Meredith! I go to Bloomington South High School, and in my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, hammocking, listening to music, and baking! I am looking forward to meeting the camp kids and having a great summer with them.

Fun fact: I absolutely love to eat seafood, from crab to squid!

I was part of the FRC robotics team and also a member of the concert band at South. I’m looking forward to having a super fun time with all the campers this year, as I was a Trailblazer myself!

Southeast Y Explorers Lead Counselor I’m Megan, and I’m a freshman majoring in Political Science at Indiana University. Leading and learning from others is my passion!
