EVS’ iconic XT range of servers has been transformed with the introduction of the latest in the series – XT-VIA. Having led the live replay market for two decades, the new server represents the most significant update to EVS’ XT range yet.

The new EVS XT-VIA is a production server offering the most reliable and fastest UHD-4K replay. With up to six channels of flexible in/out combinations, the XT-VIA drives complete UHD-4K media control from ingest to playout.

The added flexibility of the XT-VIA lets you bridge your investment to execute HD and Full-HD productions from the same server.

In addition to EVS Loop Recording technology, on-board XNet SDTI support and XNet-VIA IP networking, XT-VIA provides support of SuperMotion cameras and native XAVC-4K Intra encoding and decoding for live editing, slowmotion replays and multi-channel playback with server-to-server transfer options.

FULL LIVE UHD-4K REPLAY OPERATIONS WITH EVS MADE PRECISION AND RELIABILITY EVS production servers changed the replay and record process by introducing a continuous loop process. Loop recording is our guarantee that you’ll never miss any of the action. With increased UHD-4K channel density and boosted internal bandwidth, XT-VIA is the most secure solution for UHD-4K operations today and tomorrow.

NEW INTERNAL PROXY FOR INCREASED FLEXIBILITY AND POWER OPTIMIZATION XT-VIA comes up with a dual proxy on-board for optimized operations. In addition to the MJPEG Legacy used for existing workflows, XT-VIA supports a new H.264 proxy for future evolutions, both in loop recording mode.

REINFORCED CONNECTIVITY TO COPE WITH EVERY NEED Whether you are starting at 3G-SDI, evolving to 12G-SDI, or building a nextgeneration facility using IP, XT-VIA meets your needs. The new server offers native IP support for SMPTE ST2110 and ST2022 standards as well as simplified configurations using NMOS and EMBER+.

FUTURE-READY PLATFORM ENABLED THROUGH SOFTWARE EVOLUTION The XT-VIA server offers native support for XAVC-4K Intra encoding and decoding without transcode or further degradation of content workflows.

As a 10-bit codec, this enables High Dynamic Range (HDR) productions for the most vivid UHD-4K content. With expanding capabilities from each Multicam Engine software upgrade, more native UHD-4K codecs will be supported onboard.

FULL FLEXIBILITY FOR UHD OR HD/1080P OPERATIONS The core of the XT-VIA is the Multicam software engine, which enables the EVS designed hardware to evolve with your needs. If you build a facility for UHD-4K today, you can still flex your server investment to execute HD and Full-HD productions with the expected EVS operations and density.

EXPANDABLE INTERNAL STORAGE Expand your production, not your complexity. Unlike other systems in the market, XT-VIA makes storage expansion easy through a range of onboard and externally expandable options yielding up to 130+ hours in UHD-4K at 600Mbps.
