The Fire Department provides the community with fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and inspections, juvenile fire education, special rescue services, and other community programs. PulsePoint Respond & AED

The City of Waukesha is a PulsePoint Community. The PulsePoint app is utilized to notify off-duty medical professionals and citizens trained in hands-only CPR of nearby cardiac arrest events so they can start hands-only CPR during the crucial moments before EMTs arrive. The App can also help you locate an AED in an emergency.

The Waukesha Police Department is responsible for the prevention and detection of criminal activity with three service divisions: patrol, special services, and investigation. The main police department is located at 1901 Delafield Street, and they have an additional substation at 2440 Les Paul Parkway to help serve all areas of the City of Waukesha.

The Waukesha Police Department is accredited by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG) and adheres to the best core practices as defined by state statutes and the by-laws of WILEAG.

Drug Disposal Program

The Waukesha Police Department accepts old or unused prescriptions in a secure disposal box. The disposal box is available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Waukesha Police Department Lobby located at 1901 Delafield Street

Pills, patches, creams, inhalers, liquids, and ointments are accepted. Aerosol cans, biohazard waste, illicit drugs, controlled substances, and syringes are not accepted.
