If you enjoy thrills, chills, and speed, you will not want to miss the 350-foot toboggan run at Lowell Park, 2201 Michigan Avenue. Targeted opening date is December 27th. The toboggan run will close on February 26, 2022. For up-to-date conditions, please call the WPRF Information Line at 262-522-9356. Lowell Park 15 Toboggans available per 45 minutes Toboggan Fees*
Toboggan Rental: $10 (maximum 4 riders per toboggan) Reserve your time by pre-booking your toboggan by Wednesday at noon. One person from the group checks in at rental time slot. Check in is located at the Lowell shelter. No walk ups will be accepted. *A Participant Waiver must be signed by users. All users under the age of 18 years of age must have waiver signed by parent or guardian, prior to toboggan run usage. Waiver will be signed when reserving toboggan.
TOBOGGAN RUN RULES
1. All riders must be 48” or taller. Children under 11 yrs. of age must be accompanied by an adult. 2. Maximum of 4 riders per toboggan. 3. Keep arms, legs, head, etc. inside of toboggan. 4. Secure all loose clothing. 5. Keep toboggans upright-no tipping of the toboggans at any time. 6. Stay seated until toboggan comes to a complete stop Please walk to end and leave thru exits. 7. If weather permits, WPRF will have an unsupervised, public ice-skating rink at Lowell and Buchner Parks. For up-to-date conditions, please call WPRF Information Line at 262-522-9356. Buchner warming shelter is open Sundays 12/26-2/27, Noon-3:00 pm.
Learn to Skate
These five-week classes will help youth to develop confidence on the ice by learning forward and backward skating, turns, stops, falling and recovery. It is suggested that young children bring helmets (bike or other helmet is fine) to class. Dress warm and come early to allow time to get skates on. This class is offered in conjunction with Waukesha County Parks & Land Use and offered to other Waukesha County communities.
