The public is invited to join FOMP with “Rain or Shine” on all walks throughout the 2023 season. Please wear appropriate clothing and boots. For more information, call (724) 733-2770.
FOMP’s mission is “to protect and restore native flora and fauna in the Municipal parks of Murrysville for everyone to enjoy.” Please volunteer to help FOMP with this mission.

S.L.A.M. is an organization that serves the community and sportsmen through projects and education with dedication to conservation, hunting, fishing, and shooting sports as well as environmental and historical preservation. SLAM stocks Haymaker Run yearly to encourage youth fishing. Fishing at Haymaker Run, which is located across the street from the Murrysville Municipal building, is open to youth fishing only.

Saturday, April 8: Wildflower walk at 1:00 p.m. at Duff Park, with Loree Speedy, botanist, leading. Meet at the Visitor Center next to the Fireplace Store on Rte 22.

Saturday, May 6: Bird Walk at 8:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Park, with Eric Hall, member of the Bird Club leading.
July 26
Sunday, June 25: Tree Walk at 10:00 a.m. at Townsend Park, with David Metzgar leading. Meet at the gazebo.
August 9
Saturday, September 16: Nature Walk at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Park, with Dr. Kyle Selcer of Duquesne University leading.
August 23
Saturday, October 14: Nature Walk at 11:00 a.m. at Duff Park, with Dr. Kyle Selcer of Duquesne University leading. Meet in the main parking lot in the pavilion. More walks will be added later in the summer so please visit FOMP on Facebook for updates! For more information call 724-733-2770
Classes will be held at Murrysville District Sportsmen’s Association: 3751 Gun Club Road, Murrysville. Register early as class sizes are limited to 55.
Classes are at no cost to students but students must bring a lunch. Water & soft drinks will be available. Students must register for a class at the PA Game Commission web site at WWW.PGC.STATE.PA.US .

Sunday, October 8, 2023 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
