Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 12/12/2014 With each passing day cattle are becoming a bit more reliant on their owners to provide their dietary needs. There is no shortage of available hay however and few famers are actually buying much hay currently. Several new listings are added to various hay for sale adds each week as hay producers hope to find those limited cattle owners who might be looking for a load or two in hopes of creating some cash flow. Several hay producers still have hay stocks from 2013. Just one more factor adding pressure to hay prices. The supply of hay is moderate to heavy and demand is light. Prices are mostly steady.
