Corn harvest increased 8 percentage points from the previous week and soybean harvest was up 17 percentage points. There were 5.7 days suitable for fieldwork during the week ending November 9. Statewide, temperatures averaged 47.0 degrees, which is 0.2 degrees below normal. Rainfall averaged 0.61 inches statewide. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 1 percent very short, 12 percent short, 81 percent adequate, and 6 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 2 percent very short, 16 percent short, 77 percent adequate, and 5 percent surplus. Corn harvest was 86 percent complete. Corn moisture at harvest averaged 15 percent. Soybean harvest was 81 percent complete. Winter wheat planted progressed to 74 percent. Winter wheat emerged progressed to 43 percent. Cotton harvest was 72 percent complete. Fall tillage progressed to 33 percent. Pasture condition was rated 10 percent poor, 36 percent fair, 46 percent good, and 8 percent excellent.
