Precipitation averaged 1.94 inches statewide, 1.01 inches above normal. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 3 percent very short, 23 percent short, 66 percent adequate, and 8 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 1 percent very short, 15 percent short, 75 percent adequate, and 9 percent surplus. Corn dented reached 93 percent, 2 percentage points behind the 5-year average. Corn mature reached 54 percent, 12 percentage points behind the 5-year average. Corn harvest was 14 percent complete, 12 percentage points behind the 5 -year average.
