#2 Grain Sorghum
A pretty mild week across the state as far as weather is concerned. Rains in the south the last couple weeks have helped to improve the condition ratings on the Drought Monitor but near 90% of the state is still listed as abnormally dry, things can change in a hurry with a wet spring but lack of snow cover which helps to fill the subsoil prior to growing season is sure something farmers are aware of. Hay listings have increased dramatically over the couple of weeks as many farmers are becoming more confidant they are going to have left over hay supplies this feeding season. Marketing of hay however continues to be a very tough business this year. The supply of hay is moderate, demand is light and prices are mostly steady.
