Missouri Crop Progress and Condition Report (11/20/17) Statewide, the temperature averaged 46.0 degrees, 1.2 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.46 inches statewide, 0.45 inches below normal. There were 4.7 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending November 19. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 5 percent very short, 19 percent short, 74 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5 percent very short, 23 percent short, 71 percent adequate, and 1 percent surplus. Corn harvested for grain was 95 percent complete, compared to 97 percent for the 5-year average. Soybean harvest was 91 percent complete, up 5 percentage points from last week. Cotton harvest was 94 percent complete, compared to 90 percent for the 5-yer average. Sorghum harvest was 93 percent complete. Winter wheat planted reached 90 percent. Winter wheat emerged reached 75 percent. Winter Wheat condition was rated 5 percent poor, 40 percent fair, 52 percent good, and 3 percent excellent. Pasture and range condition was rated 4 percent very poor, 12 percent poor, 45 percent fair, 36 percent good, and 3 percent excellent.
