Heifers in this sale have met minimum standards for reproductive soundness, pelvic size, frame size, muscle thickness, body condition, and weight. They have undergone a comprehensive health program and are guaranteed bred. There were 61 percent A.I. bred heifers. Approximately 27 percent of the offering were Tier 2 Show Me Select heifers. This means that they have met requirements and are sired by high accuracy sires. All heifers are expected to calve from early February to the middle of April with projected dates given for each lot of heifers. The offering, consisted of 94 percent black or black white face, with some Registered Angus and Registered Simmentals. Heifers were graded and sorted into uniform lots according to projected calving dates and body type similarity. A large crowd attended the sale and demand was high. Supply consisted of 135 bred heifers from 14 producers in 69 lots selling to 27 different buyers with an average weight of 1121 lbs and an average price of 2200.00 per head. Replacement Heifers: Large 1 1083-1420 lbs, 2nd & 3rd stage, 2350.00-2700.00; Large 2 1105-1410 lbs, 2nd & 3rd stage, 1950.00-2300.00. Medium and Large 1-2 Few Reg. Angus and Reg. Simmentals 1110-1355 lbs, 2nd & 3rd stage 1800.002450.00, fancy lots 1120-1400 lbs, 2700.00-2950.00; Medium 1 984-1035 lbs, 2nd & 3rd stage, 1800.00-2450.00; Medium 2 few 860-1020 lbs, 2nd & 3rd stage, 1600.00-2250.00.
