Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Weather this past week has bee just what the doctor ordered for the fall hay producer. Low humidity and cooler temperatures have made for perfect fall grass hay harvest. Quality could not be better and where there have been normal amounts of rain the tonnage is above average. This week also noted the start of the annual silage harvest as several producers pulled the choppers into their fields. One can only imagine how high the quality of the silage will be given the amount of corn that will be in the mix. Prices on hay remain steady to firm, the supply moderate to heavy and demand is light to moderate.
