He was presented with a certificate in May by local MP Selaine Saxby (pictured right).

Mr Sunak said, “I want to thank you for your pioneering work over the last four decades protecting wild otters across our country.”

“The UK Wild Otter Trust has become one of the most respected conservation organisations in Britain,” added the Prime Minister. Dave has also recently received awards for the Most Dedicated Otter Conservation Trust 2023 Western Europe, and Best Specialist Otter Conservation Trust 2023.

Points of Light awards are given to outstanding individual volunteers - people who are making a change in their community. Find out more about the charity here: ukwildottertrust.org
