Photo of the month

Whether it’s wildlife like this, a landscape, sports, special events, rural life, a local character or something else - please keep emailing us your pictures. We usually only feature one each month in the magazine, but show more on our Instagram and Facebook pages: @MoltonMonthly

For our May photo of the month, North Devon photographer Justin Swain captured this dramatic moment, as a female buzzard swoops down at very close quarters (left)!

“I’d been out on Exmoor for a sunrise walk when I spotted this buzzard perched in a tree close by,” Justin told Molton Monthly.

“Fortunately, she waited patiently for me to switch camera lenses and posed for a few portrait shots before taking flight!”

Justin goes by the name ‘Wanderjust’ thanks to a love of travel and describes himself as a keen amateur photographer and licensed commercial drone pilot.
