The North Idaho College Popcorn Forum and Convocation Series have presented forums aod symposia on a broad range of issues and problems for nearly a quarter of a century. The series provides a plalfonn for the free expression of a wide range of viewpoints. This year's !Opie "Universal Health Coverage in the United States: Can We Do ll?" will provide an opportunity to examine and discuss the various health care plans being considered in the United States Congress as well as around the United States. The week-long symposium will also address the impact of violence in America on health care cos~ the question of who gets what type of health care, aad finally a discussion of self-health management for the 1\venty-First Century.

LARRY CRAIG (R) Idaho U.S. Senaior (via satellite) Senator Craig was born at Council, Idaho, grad~••d from the Universi1y of Idaho with a B.A. in Political Science and Agricultural EconomiC$ in 1969, and did graduate study in Economics and Politics of Developiog Countrie& at George Wa.,hiogton Uni,-ersity.. He was elected to the Idaho State Senate in 1974 and was rc-•lected in I 976 and 1978. Craig was elected U.S. Repre&enmive from Idaho's Pim Congrcs• siooal District in I980and re-elected in 1982. 1984, 1986 and 1988. Upon the retirement of U.S. Senator Jame& McClure in 1990, Larry Cnig was elected to the U.S. Senate. He served a term on the National Republican Congressional Ca.-.,aign Corrunittce.
The week will afford the participants the oppot1unity to meet and bear some of tbe preeminent authorities in tbe field of health care issues and coverage. The symposium is free and open lO the public.

He served as Campaign Manager for Phil Ba11·s 1982 gubernatorial campaign, Executive Viec-Pr<-Sident of the Idaho Home Builders Association and Executive Assistant to the Director of the Idaho Otpattmcnl of Lands.
