Sam Farraway announced $2.88 million from Round Nine of the program to support Cabonne Shire Council upgrading and replacing ageing equipment at seven pools across the region.
“The NSW Government is backing in local councils through our Resources for Regions Program and delivering much needed upgrades for community infrastructure,” Mr Farraway said.
“This funding is great news for Cabonne residents with all seven pools in the LGA set to have better filtration systems, ensuring these community assets can be used well into the future.

“Grant opportunities like our Resources for Regions Program are building what matters to local communities and securing a brighter future for regional NSW.”
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said Resources for Regions has delivered 355 projects worth $560 million to mining communities since its inception in 2012, stimulating local economies and delivering critical infrastructure.
“It’s absolutely crucial we continue to support regional mining towns that supply our State with the resources needed to keep the lights on and the economy moving forward, and this program is just another example of the NSW Government’s commitment to the future of our mining regions.
“I would like to congratulate Cabonne Council for putting forward this project which will make big difference for the people and organisations in this local community.”
