Concerns for the young local woman who walked out of Vinnies shop in Molong with a pair of pink shoes - and forgot to pay. The Easy Steps shoes usually sell at $120 a pair in shops - but at Vinnies the price was right @ $10.

It was probably one of those errors which can happen to most of us when we have plenty of other stuff on our minds and forget what we have in our hands when we leave a shop - and forget to pay.

It would be respectful for the Vinnies volunteers, who work long hours bringing the best in quality and clean items to Molong - if the lady can return the shoes or pay for them. It’s not too late - and we all make mistakes. Vinnies do such a great job helping the rising number of homeless families and need the money to do so.

Which Tree?

New resident willing to help

Meet Elissa Hiller, Psychologist, wife of Daniel (aka Sparky the Electrician), mum to Lilah and Will who moved family, professional career, business to Molong (from Sydney) in 2016.

This young couple are amongst the growing number of young families attracted to Molong to live, work, transfer their skills to, raise their family, and proudly input ideas (in the little spare time they have) to help Molong to reach new goals.

Earlier this year, Elissa Hiller noticed an article in the Molong Express under the heading “What do we need in town?”.

“The feedback from readers was great” said Rozzi Smith.

“What was even more pleasing was to receive fantastic market research feedback from Elissa who took the initiative to send the Express question on to caravan and camping groups to ask “What do we need in Molong?”

“I call it reverse marketing” said Elissa who took the question to a significant marketplace demographic via her social media skills - the caravan and camping clubs.

“Elissa’s initiative was extremely helpful” said Rozzi. “For both the Express question - and for the Molong community in understanding what this large demographic is attracted by and will travel to, stopover, shop if the town can provide.

Whilst Molong does attract a small portion of this demographic - the opportunity to gain more of this market share is huge.”

As a result of Elissa’s social media initiative - 1,000 phone calls came in on her mobile. (Elissa had to turn her mobile off in the end. “I couldn’t take the huge number of calls or return phone calls” said Elissa. “It became ‘accidental publicity’ for Molong” said Elissa “with people who had stopped over in Molong wanting to share their

feedback - and others who had not stopped over before wanting to find out more about Molong.”

They told Elissa “we’ve never been (or stopped over) in Molong - but we will now.” Just goes to show how one small initiative can grow into a much bigger opportunity when community members, like Elissa Hiller, are willing to give a little bit of their time in community volunteering.

Even better ... one group of women caravan, campers responded by making the trip to Molong to catch up with Elissa over lunch at the Freemasons. They had planned a trip that weekend to Guerie - but instead of heading to Dubbo to lunch and shop - they decided to come to Molong to give their feedback and to help (and they shopped).

“The ladies (around 15 in number) gave some really good feedback - Needed: Town signage, better signage for public toilets and dump point and caravan park/camping grounds, motel accommodation, tourist information etc were all top of the list.

Respondents stressed the importance of customer service and their expectations when shopping in a town. Molong is apparently one of the few places after Bathurst and before Wellington where caravaners can park close to the shops. But where?

With the MAG Bank Street Liquidambar survey progressing - locals are asking the important question - “what could the Liquidambars be replaced with?”

Most of us will agree that with the large number of suitable streetscape species (mature size) now readily available on the market - the final decision should be left to the professionally trained horticulturists/landscape architects, town planners/nursery industry specialists, tree surgeons and the knowledge other councils have gained through trial and error planting experiences over the years. There is excellent knowledge within Cabonne Council for the best decision to be made.

Molong Advancement Group have registered with the McGrath Foundation to raise funds to provide more Breast Care Nurses and are planning to ‘PINK UP’ Molong from 1st to 7th October and are asking for donations of any shape or size clean Bras to dye pink to be uses to promote our worthy fundraising cause.

MAG Secretary Marj Bollinger said, “We are inviting all local business houses in town to engage in the fun to turn Molong Pink during the week by decorating their shop fronts and anything else they can think of to promote the McGrath Foundation in Molong.

There will be no shortage of entertainment over the long week end with Disc Golf Championships at the local Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday

and Mammoth ‘PINK’ Markets at the Recreation Ground on Monday 7th.

I’m not sure what sort of a record we can achieve with our Pink Bra drive but how many is irrelevant as long as we can, with your help, gather up enough to highlight the need for more Breast Care Nurses and raise funds to support their work.

Baiame’s Ngunnhu – the Brewarrina fish traps In the little town of Brewarrina, about 90km north-east of Bourke in northwestern New South Wales, is a complex so old that its custodians – the Ngemba people of that region – say that it was created in the Dreaming when the ancestral hero Baiame and his two sons threw their fishing nets over an unusual rock ledge in the Barwon River, using them as a guide to place the stones that form the sacred Ngunnhu, the fish traps.

When the work was finished, Baiame placed them under the guardianship of the Ngemba, telling them that they were a resource to be shared with several other groups.

In time the Ngunnhu became the site of great gatherings for spiritual and cultural reasons – and, in times of drought and hardship, survival – and was one of the great meeting places of eastern Australia.

The Brewarrina fish traps are indeed old, and are claimed by some to be the world’s oldest surviving man-made structure, predating the oldest Egyptian pyramid by about 36,000 years – or some 1200 generations.

They have never been accurately dated, and damage wrought in modern times means they probably wion’t be, but they are are further proof that Australia’s Indigenous peoples were not simply hunters and gatherers, eking out a meagre living as best they could.

The Brewarrina structure shows that the Ngemba people had a deep understanding not only of the habits of fish, but also of the

The fish traps comprise a complicated arrangements of “fences”, similar to those used in livestock handling on farms, and holding pens, in which fish could be kept until required. Some sections could be rearranged to suit differences in water levels and rate of river flow.

Like fish traps all over Australia, the Brewarrina structure takes advantage of the fact that fish prefer to swim against a current. The rocks form 12 teardropshaped pools into which fish can be herded through small openings, which are quickly closed shut with a few rocks.

The walls are at different heights, allowing them to be used at different water levels, and have proved resistant to

damage in the face of high and fast water flows.

When the fish traps were added to the national heritage list in 2005, they were described as “the largest traps recorded” and demonstrated a thorough understanding of “dry stone wall construction techniques, river hydrology and fish ecology”. Due to their size, design and complexity they were considered “exceptionally rare”.

Today, the traps are still under the custodianship of, and used by, the Ngemba people, who are immensely proud of their ancestors’ legacy.

There has been restoration work carried out on some damaged sections and the ngunnhu are of great significance to the Aboriginal people of western and northern NSW, the site being full of spiritual, cultural, traditional and symbolic meanings.

In the past, the fish traps and the laws governing their use helped shape the spiritual, political, social, ceremonial and trade relationships between Aboriginal groups from across the greater landscape.

Today they continue to link the past with the present and are a source of strength and inspiration to their inheritors.

Note: Visitors to Brewarrina will be well-rewarded by visiting the Aboriginal Cultural Museum where the Ngemba, Ualarai, Weilwan and Baranbinja peoples share their stories and culture with those who are interested.

Bishop reminds families to ask for help Twelve months ago, the Catholic Bishop of Bathurst, Bishop Michael McKenna reminded families who were suffering difficult financial circumstances, that they are always able to approach their school principal to arrange financial assistance if they are unable to pay their Catholic school fees.

Since that time, very little rain has fallen across the Diocese and the severity of the drought continues to worsen. The Bishop is well aware of the

devastating results the drought is having on communities whose livelihoods are dependent on rain.

Bishop McKenna again repeats, “The provision of affordable Catholic schooling, especially for those in need in this time of drought, should not be an added burden to the financial strain of families”.

“We certainly do not wish to add to the financial burden families are currently experiencing, as money should not be

a barrier to children attending Catholic schools”, he said.

“As people of faith, we are praying for rain and for everyone whose lives and livelihood depends on this blessing”, said Bishop McKenna.

Remembering Noelene Gillies (nee Connelly) Former Molong resident, Noelene Anne Gillies (nee Connelly) passed away in Ballina on 13 July 2019 aged 74 years.

Born in Molong in 1944, Noelene was the youngest daughter of business owners, Keith and Jean Connelly - and a member of one of the town’s early settler families.

Noelene attended the local Catholic School with her sister, Margaret (now Alexander) of Lennox Head and brother John (Cowra) leaving when she was 17 years old to begin her working life in Sydney.

The Connelly family were residents of Betts Street where Jean (Tubby) remained living.

Noelene is survived by her husband, Malcolm and their children Scott and Karla, son and daughter in law Tom and Debbie and her much loved grandchildren Ella, Sam and Harry.

The Connelly Bros. family will be remembered as the grocery store operators of the now heritage listed shop next to the Cabonne Council building.

Long-time locals will remember shopping for groceries - with the Connelly family filling customers wicker baskets perched on the large scrubbed wooden counter.

The signs on this iconic shop still stand today identifying the fresh country staples, flour, fresh eggs, butter, tea, vegies and fruit (in season) with living memories still standing tall of past Molong, the Connelly Bros. and their families.

The Express would like to thank Robyn Barnes, a lifetime friend of Noelene, and Margaret Alexander (nee Connelly) who brought the announcement and photo to Molong.

by Rozzi The Dalai Lama laughs a lot. Why? As the Buddhists explain - he laughs joyfully, he is at peace, he sees the world around him - and greets each and every new day simply and clearly.

That’s the Buddhist way of living.

However, it’s not uncommon in our Western culture to wake to the new day with thoughts and concerns and a state of mind that we develop through negative affirmations - like, “today is not going to be a good day.” Why do we put ourselves through this depressing kind of thinking?

One of the favourite (western) inner-self outer- self mindfulness comments of today is in the understanding of how we see each other, and the world around us.

Many a mindfulness understanding course, or motivational leadership program today - asks us to consider the rather odd - “Do you see the bottle (or glass) as half-full, full or empty”. This is, questioning how we as individuals ‘see’ and participate in everyday life. Most can identify with someone (or self) who - for whatever reasons see life and the life of self - as ‘negative’ or the bottle as half empty or empty.

At the end of the day, it could be said that those who see, hear and speak through negative thoughts come from an often self-imposed position of self-doubt, lack of belief in self ... or who have been harmed, hurt, experienced a great loss which has left them lashing out at others. Instead of dealing and working through the ‘real problem’ relating to ‘self’.

Do we see the glass as full, half empty or empty? Why does the Dalai Lama laugh a lot?

He doesn’t see ‘the’ bottle either half full, empty, or full. The thought, saying ... even the bottle, glass or water ... even the table it may be sitting on to the Buddhist is ‘not real’.

The Buddhists will instead explain that in their culture - nothing around them is real - material possessions are not real. Their mindfulness and culture see that in our western culture belief we see ‘real’ because that is our mind training. What is in front of us - is only real because we have given the object/situation a name.

Studying Buddhist philosophy some years ago in Canberra provided me with an insight into a culture of peacefulness. The explanation of the ‘feelings’ we westerners seek to carry and often identify with to weigh our personalities down and choose to look through eyes of negativity towards others and life itself - are to the Buddhists ‘concerning’ but in the bigger picture of life itself - ‘not real’.

Life itself is not complicated. At the start of each new day - the sun rises and regardless of the weather - is a perfect day - in a perfect world - on a perfect planet - in a perfect universe, Question is - are we able to choose how we are able spend that day?

“I live in the smallest town with the biggest heart” Pamela would often say of Molong when she found her way here, with cousin and best friend, Gillian, 16 years ago. The intelligent, somewhat eccentric pair, found Ray and Ivy Myors house and land patiently waiting for them. After living in urban areas - the two delightful women found their home in a town who welcomed them with open arms, and held them with warm hearts. Gillian died a few years ago. Pamela Grace passed recently. Their gardens and presence in the town - live on.

As those who knew Pamela Grace would expect ... the keen writer wanted to have her ‘final say’ and deliver her very own final farewell to the people of Molong. She gave a meticulous typed copy to her godaughter Kelley Storum (Sydney) to deliver via the Molong Express.

“We are honoured!”said Rozzi (Express). “We’ve printed the entirety of Pam’s farewell where she gives thanks to various community members who helped her to live in a better place throughout her long and challenging illness. Enjoy Pam’s farewell to Molong!”

Pam’s life was not an easy one.

She grieved the death of her 4 year old son and other family members “I could never say goodbye to anyone I love. Now I am being practical (!!!), and doing it. It’s hard.

Doc Guerin has said you couldn’t shut me up with a chloroform soaked gag in my mouth, but I promise this is it. Well ...

In 2003 my Gilly who could never resist a dirt road - turned into one from Edward Street and at its end found a beautiful garden and a gazebo. She came back and told me she’d found our new home in Molong. I had the idea it was somewhere out in the western desert, but we had long ago made a vow of Quo Vadis and so after a few months, she brought me here.

I knocked down a few walls (and much to John Gartrell’s horror, changed my mind and had him put one back up again and knock another one down instead.)

She (Gillian) asked me if I ever regretted coming here.

I said then, and I say now, that the only thing I regretted was that I hadn’t been born here. (Although it’s possible one of you might have had to kill me by now). At least, God willing, I’ll have a say where I can die.

The kids coming home from school when I’m chugging up the hill graciously step aside and smile at me, and say hi! Something in the water makes your kids beautiful.

Dear Liam. I love you. Have courage. Ryan, Ashleigh, Noah, Zaniah!!! For once, so many happy memories.

We met Mick Mulhall who knew the garden better than we did. Well, especially better than I did and for a long time Mick was our “little brother” We met his wife Mary who tried to bring my Gilly back. We met Val, of whom I was immediately in awe, roaring away on the post bike with a smile, a laugh and bloody magpies divebombing her. It has been an absolute privilege to have

I had already raided Sue Wild’s ‘drug supply’ (prescription) and let off a confusion bomb in the moment I walked into the shop. Sue, with whom I share a birthday (about 100 years apart) remained unfazed and has continued to be calm and in control. I put it down to the same birthday thing, until Gilly pointed out that I was anything but. She finally conceded that in my profession I was - just in my personal life - a ‘rat-bag’. Sue has a way of only employing beautiful girls (and males) who hold a gift for great kindness.

I met Jamie Jones a little boy (at the time) who walked our dogs and stuck to his responsibilities through thick and thin.

We went to a party at Val and dear Packo’s who to my great joy lived directly opposite us. I passed out after one glass, and Val and her friends brought Gilly home later - leaving a trail of talcum power so they could find their way back across the road again. I had not laughed like that in years.

We met Doc Guerin, the best doctor in the world, who I suspect I drove to wishing he’d never left his vet. practice. Our first Christmas, Aileen from the corner came and invited us to her home with Ned. We were both stunned by her generosity. I then discovered that the Water Tower next door had a huge star lit on its roof and was so delighted I suggested that we rename the house “Bethlehem”. Gilly was naturally horrified and we stuck to “Windchimes” (her poetic choice over my more truthful one of “Whinge Times”). My dear Water Tower Boys.

I met Bronny and Perry and got locked in their newsagency when they closed on a Saturday morning while I was lurking down in the card corner. Chris couldn’t stop laughing (there were other reasons which out of respect I will not include) - while Gilly was circling the block and checking the hospital. Since then Kerry has constantly amazed me with “that” smile that makes her blue eyes shine and your heart and mouth smile back.

No-one will ever replace Bron and Perry and I know I’m just one example of their kindness and generosity. There

We met Robyn and Graham Barnes - anything you wanted at IGA they went out of their way to get you. And they lived just round the corner.

Robyn, true blue with those big brown eyes you can confide in, and Graham by whom I was a little intimidated until I realised it was his straight faced humour the day I “drove him off the road” - which I still don’t know about, Graham! Another real gentleman.

I felt I was surrounded by friends. I felt safe. And until I lived with Gilly, “safe” was not my usual way of feeling. Neither Gill nor I were used to kindness, although it - and respect - was the thing she deserved most. Gill would come home and tell me in amazement how friendly and kind someone had been to her that day. It restored her, as it restored me. I felt I could be myself, finally, in Molong “The place of many rocks”. “All in your head” Gilly would say.

Packo had a part in “Jessica” and was selling autographs on the Post Office steps. The whole town was a nut job, thank God! Mary threatened to put Mick on the Post Office steps with a sign “Free to Good Home”. (But she laughed, and would possibly kill anyone taking her up on it!).

From the garden, I’ve seen the Molong sky in all its colours, stars swallowing Maureen’s paddocks, the sweep of the folding hills that even in drought look green. So many different shades of green. Education week at Euchareena From Euchareena Public School

Last Monday students, staff and families celebrated Education Week at Euchareena Public School. The theme for Education Week this year is ‘Every student, every voice’.

Education Week is a celebration of student empowerment and how the NSW public education system gives students the skills they need in order to have and express a voice during their own educational journey and as engaged learners.

Students performed their very own version of ‘Wombat Stew’ for our special guests. (See page 1) Our guests were delighted to see their children performing and presenting in front of an audience.

It was lovely to share afternoon tea with our families and enjoy some stories together. Congratulations to our students on a wonderful day celebrating Public Education.

If the poor devils are forced to stay in towns and cities other than Canberra, they can claim between $215 and $437 a night Oh, and there’s the $1800 annual allowance for stamps for their Canberra office, the free car including rego, insurance, fuel etc., that can be used by the MP or the family, and a few tens of thousands in other lurks in the form of travel and so on.

How about getting rid of some of these perks and demanding that MPs spend more time in Canberra focusing on the business of guiding the country through what are now the most difficult times we have ever faced since Europeans first arrived here.

MPs are allowed an office in their electorate, and staff to run it. Why not divert some of those generous perks to extra staff in an electorate office?

They could answer voters’ questions and keep the MP up to speed with events in the electorate – providing the NBN is working of course.

The voters should be demanding that Parliamentarians actually spend a realistic amount of time earning their salaries. Since 2013, our generously paid representatives

have spent less than a year actually sitting in Parliament and so far this year have been in session for less than one month out of seven.

From the house, I’ve watched her garden bloom, the kids grow tall and strong, and heard their laughter, growing deeper over the years, and in the house, I’ve smiled, because there is no more a beautiful sound.

Gilly planted 41 Camellias, which all died.

(Neither of us believe in reading the instructions ‘first’). So she got the proper soil - bought 41 pots and another 41 camellias. It has been a constant source of comfort to me that those camellias are blooming around Molong, as a memorial to her, to her great heart, to her innocence.

We buried the ‘Silly Sisters’ in the corner block, and Gilly broke her heart. So we mended that a little bit by finding J.C., then Our Rose, then Shami - who is NOT feral, she likes tummy tickles. And, we still had China, Coby, Kimga and Psycho Bob. Bobby is 20 now and has a bad heart. China, Coby and Kimba are with Gil. By the time you read this, Little Bob might be with her too.

Without Gilly, the beautiful team at Molong Vets. have made the precious lives she left me so much safer, and understood that I couldn’t (for once) say.

The flood came (2005), and it really hurt us to watch such good people struggle, especially as we were useless. In answer to my prayers, one of the miniature ponies survived by standing on top of a table in Karen’s Pickled Pecker Cafe. (Gilly was terrified I would say that in public).

We met Maureen Kirkwood, a true Christian and a great lady and were honoured to call her a friend. I met lovely Kaylene and terrorised Sarah and Courtney and then Karen, and I again hit the jackpot with Steven Brown. And, I’ve just found out that Steve’s wife Susan has been reading my mind and is part of the Bleakley jigsaw, which explains why they all make such a beautiful whole; and Richelle came to live opposite with Greg and their fantastic children Sam and Darcee who gave me more pleasure than words can say, even now when they’re so much taller than me.

All four remained calm when I came off the Champex one night and screamed into their house waving a $50 note and bellowing for a cigarette. “Oh, for God’s sake” muttered Richelle, driving off to buy me a packet while I sucked on one of hers. Darce and Sam, little then, but eyes wide, gave me quiet smiles and went on with

their homework, while Greg just kept stirring a pot on the stove and smiling to himself (it wasn’t funny Greg!). I tried so hard to be mortified, but their calm acceptance of my hysteria just kept me laughing (and puffing!).

I met little Dotti (sorry, Nicole) who has courage infused in her spine and Les and Michelle Jones.

And when Gilly went away, Michelle stayed at the hospital and told Doc. she “didn’t want me to wake up alone”.

Ebony, Chaz, Nathan and Sharon - not just surviving, thriving, Kindness. Courage. Love.

Trust at last without question. I met Beth who was not only kind and honest but who gave me the greatest gift of all - her trust.

Vanessa and Margo have made me laugh when I had no laughter left. Judy smiles at me. Edna and Noel Bleakley reached into my mind and heart and gave me a picture of love, integrity, courage. So I could believe in those things again.

I wanted them to adopt me - a very old child.

They reminded me of the 12th of Never!

I regret that Gilly never got to meet Sharon and Peter Deen and Rachel and Abbey, my sun Queen and Starlight Princess. They have cared for me, loved me, forgiven my neuroses, understood me far beyond anything I deserve, and all I can give any of you is my trust and love.

Not all the regular buyers were present, with the absence of a major supermarket operator and a couple of southern export processors.

Light weight lambs to the processors were $15 cheaper, Trade lambs were from $16 to $23 cheaper. Trade weight new season lambs sold from $162 to $202/head, Heavy weight lambs were $24 cheaper, Restocker lambs were firm, while the young new season lambs to the restockers sold from $61 to $157/head.

Hoggets sold to $180/head.

It was a mixed yarding of mutton, with most grades from $8 to $12/head cheaper.

2 score ewes sold from $66 to $104, while the better 3 and 4 scores sold from $100 to $175/head for crossbreds. Merino wethers sold to $182/head. Good numbers of light wethers sold to the restockers, making from $104 to $124/head.

It was an overall good quality yarding, with good numbers of ideal feeder cattle along with a fair selection of trade cattle. Cows and grown heifers were well supplied and there was only limited numbers of grown steers. Most of the regular buyers were in attendance and operating.

Molong played a well disciplined game to defeat Grenfell 36 - 22.

The ladies were not so fortunate going down to Grenfell 38 - 12 In youth League the bulls again went down to Grenfell 20-10.

Next week its off to Manildra for the final round with much at stake as its tight at the top.

Manildra Rhinos The Rhinos had a good win over Peak Hill 30 -14 to retain 2nd place on the ladder.

The same for the League Tag team who swamped Peak Hill 48-0 while in youth league the Rhinos went down to Cargo 32-22.

Expecting a big roll up at Manildra next Sunday when they take on the Molong Bulls.

Grenfell and Molong First Grade sides observe a minutes silence in memory of the legendary Ian Hanrahan.

The Ian Hanrahan Memorial Shield will be contested between these teams each year.

The Magpies bowed out of the Oilsplus Cup with a 22-17 loss to Geurie in the preliminary final at the Rec on Saturday.

It was a disappointing end to a very strong season, but Molong were unable to replicate their convincing wins against the 2018 Premiers earlier in the season.

Similar to the major semi against Wellington last week, the Magpies gave away a big lead in the first half. They found themselves down 17-3 at half time, but were able to claw their way back to 17 all before the Goats scored a final, and as it turned out winning try, inside the last ten minutes.

Molong started well with Mitch Brown kicking a penalty just two minutes into the game. Geurie responded almost immediately, also kicking a penalty.

The visitors then put their foot on the gas and scored converted tries in the 9th and 21st minutes. The first was from 45m out and the second from a quick tap from a penalty close to the Molong line.

Molong had some good passages of play and had been close to the Geurie line, but were unable to penetrate the strong defence. Geurie also utilised the stiff breeze well and there were at least three kicks of nearly 50m into touch from their own quarter which gave them some much needed breathing space.

The second half came alive for Molong whilst the Geurie outside centre was in the sin bin (for a second high tackle).

Winger Josh Reid scored at the 18 minute mark after some straight running from centre Zac White on the half way allowed replacement backrower Jordan Packham a half break. He offloaded to a flying Josh Peffer who was brought down on the quarter line, but quick ball saw Reid scoot up the sideline.

Veteran halfback Ben Redfern was now handling the kicking duties as Brown had to leave the field a little earlier with a knee injury, and the kick never looked like missing until it hit the posts and just scraped through.

Six minutes later, Molong scored their second try via a pick and drive from prop Tyler Ginn. This had followed a quick penalty tap and several phases close to the Geurie line. Redfern again added the extras to tie the game up.

Geurie had not only brought their A game, but also their A team and it was an individual piece of brilliance from their halfback who went blind from a ruck 40m from the Molong line to seal the game up for the Goats. They failed to convert but it still gave them a vital five point lead which they were able to hold for the remaining eight minutes.

Molong’s scrum had been strong all game, and almost dominant, but their lineout had an off day, turning over much of their own ball. The backs lacked individual penetration against a much larger Geurie, but made some inroads when the ball was coming fast and the defence wasn’t so set.

They were moving through the phases much quicker than in the Wellington semi and this almost won them the game. Sadly though, Molong made a few too many errors throughout the game, both forced and unforced, turning over the ball at crucial times.

Molong were so close in both semi finals, losing by only three and five points respectively, but they gave away too big a start in each game against very strong sides. They can however be very proud of their efforts throughout the season.

The presentations will be held on Saturday 31 August (details to follow).

MOLONG FISHING CLUB

Another legend, Jenny Barrow, Molong Bulls President with some of the sponsors who were invited to Sponsors & Old Boys Day last Sunday.

The game topped off a splendid return season for the Bulls - due in no small measure to Jenny and the Bulls administration team. Great organisaton off the field matched the performances of the players over the season.

MOLONG GOLF Last Wednesday 6 ladies played a 4BBB, and next Wednesday 14th we will be playing an 18 hole par 8.30 for 9.00am tee off. ****************** Thanks to those people looking after the golf club, Scott Oates, Kerry Oates for their continuous work out there and all the other players who are looking after their interest as well We had three gorups playing last
