Rubbish dumpers put future of Molong recylcing bins in jeopardy The future of the recycling point on Betts Street Molong could be in jeopardy if residents and business owners continue to dump rubbish in the area. The service is under review following the dumping of a large amount of rubbish in the area in recent months. The bank of approximately 20 yellow-lid recycling bins are provided by council as a service to Molong’s rural ratepayers to give these residents access to a recycling point without having to drive to one of the Council’s waste management facilities. It has been noted that often the material deposited at the recycling bin site has been generated by local business premises. However, the intent of the service is to assist rural residents who are seeking the opportunity to contribute to recycling. The bins are serviced weekly by contractor J.R. Richards, however Council staff have been forced to clean up the site repeatedly after rubbish has been left beside the bins.
