WELCOME TO LIME & STONE
Congratulations to Kate Redfern and Sally Brazier who opened their fabulous new business in Bank Street earlier this week. Locals and visitors have been delighted to find fresh pastries, wholesome salads, breads, quiche ... and many other favourites generally found in city boutique coffee lounges. The two entrepreneurs have spent many months researching, travelling, training, tasting, sourcing the best in coffee, drinks, foods, recipes, giftware and homewares to bring to Molong and district something uniquely different. Let's support this new business and welcome Kate and Sally and their team of young local employees to Molong and Bank Street. Molong is on the move. We thank Sally and Kate for adding to the Molong success story and for their investment and belief in this district.
Molong township was hit by a tunnel of wind last Friday afternoon when the clouds gathered, rain fell with hail following. Then a fierce tunnel of wind surprised residents in Phillip Street, Edward Street, Gidley Street and Betts Street. One residence lost its tin room with others reporting the loss of roof tiles, a carport, the loss of tree limbs, with one giant conifer uprooted from the ground in Phillip Street.
SES and other volunteer organisations helped to place tarpaulin over homes and building soon after the storm to protect the residents. (Above) Part of the tin roof of this residence in Gidley Street was dislodged in last Friday's wind tunnel that took Molong by surprise.
