Coronavirus COVID-19
Coronavirus needs our bodies - each one of us, to bloom and to spread. But, we don't want this virus in our bodies and our communities. Simply speaking ... to be a responsible community member during this pandemic is about each one of us being prepared to 'bunker down'...change travel plans ...cancel/ postpone community events, entertainment and sporting events, practice social distancing, restrict crowds in shops, clubs, pubs and gatherings to no more than 100. Washing hands, properly, is the key message from health officials, across the world. We can all do this - and for many re-learn the handwashing routine as recommended (See P.4). At this time of the year we are prone to sniffles, sore throats and colds and of course sufferers will be and should be concerned. Not sure what to do? Simply call the Coronavirus Health Information Line for advice 1800 020 080 (free call) and ask your questions. This service operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Panic Buying has become a very
Well done to Les and Cheryl of the Telegraph Hotel for this responsible sign and initiative.
concerning and major problem in every town, village, city across Australia. In fact, across the world. SPAR Molong is experiencing a huge increase in out of town and district 'once in a lifetime' shoppers. Question is ... does this same group of people, intent on emptying the food shelves in Molong and other rural towns and villages buying toilet paper, tisues, rice, pasta and lately ... meats, potatoes etc - spend as much time thinking and practising the recommended handwashing regime - and showing responsibility for protecting the health and well-being of our town and district community members? Have these panic shoppers given a thought to the lives of our local and district seniors, elderly, families, single parents - good people who are loyal local shoppers who buy toilet paper and grocery items each and every week - and rely on local shops to provide? The current behaviour of some of the people of Australia is 'shameful', disrespectful and selfish. Particularly at a time when people in Australia should be helping, supporting and considering the needs of each other. Is this the Australia we have become?
SEE PAGE 2 Well done to Trent and Sharni at Molong Meats who are happily serving delicious fresh meats. chicken, fish, eggs etc to their regular and district customers. "We're protecting our local and district regulars and their quality food requirements" said Trent.

Well done to SPAR Manager, Nicole Gosper and Viv Sharpless who are ensuring their local and district shoppers, "particularly our elderly" will not miss out when the new shipment of toilet paper, tissues and handwash arrive on the shelves. "One package, box or bottle of each per customer is the rule".
