More on mice

Just look at those laughing above! Congratulations to local organisers led by Jude Taylor who decided to place Molong on the map of the annual Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival with what turned out to be an outrageous, welcoming, good hearted fun night of poetry competitors who positively released themselves out of their long-time comfort zones to write, recite, and act out their tributes to the Aussie poet, story-

teller, writer, war correspondent - during last weekend's Molong Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival. Held at Kim and Dave Stojanov's Freemason's Hotel - (with COVID requirements met) could the night have been any better? "NOOOO" was the response from the audience representing the towns and villages of Cabonne Country, Orange, Sydney, Queensland who travelled to town for the event. Telegraph to get $.5m facelift

Molong's Telegraph hotel is about to undergo a major redevelopment. In a project of a size not seen in the Bank St business hub for many years, some $1/2m is being invested to add over 100% additional bar/bistro area and a massive covered outdoor deck at the rear. This comes following the complete rebuilding of the Hotel's front verandah. The drive-through lane and old keg room will disappear and be converted to additional bar and bistro facilities. A new bar will service the popular beer garden. This will almost double in size, and with the children's play area, raised to a single level. The development will transform not only the interior of

the hotel but also the street frontage. New entry doors and windows will replace the driveway tunnel and the old keg room frontage. The new entry will be ramped and recessed thus preserving a link to the drive through entrance that stood there for decades. The last major fit-out in Bank St was the new H Hardware store.
