What can be grown within a Vertical Farming Unit?

As apart of a Vertical Growing Trestle system or The following vine-fruits cam be cultivated:

• Assorted Grapes • Passion-fruits • Kiwi Fruits • Strawberries • Luxury Items - Kiwana Melons • Luxury Items - Dragon Fruits The following fruits are potentials to be grown in my proposed scheme.As apart of additional “Cash Crops“ or items that would otherwise have to be imported.

If the proposed scheme could create an environment to grow both Dragon Fruits (Americas Origin) & Kiwana Melons (African Origin).

It would allow a “localised product” that does not require importation, transportation and then further storage methods. Before being put on sale, for its customers.

What else can be cultivated within a Vertical Farming Unit?

Other aspects such as Fish Farming & Honey Bee production can be considererd also as apart of a Vertical farming solution:

• Cod & Haddock • Karp & Koi-Karp • Sturgeon • Tilipia. • Luxury Items - Caviar • Honey Production.

Semi-Intensive fish farming, using a selected species of edible fish could create an additional income, another source of fresh produce & a natural symbiotic relationship with growing agriculture; as apart of anAquoponic system. Cod, Haddock & Tilapia could be bred, to reduce demands on wild fish stocks for a food source.

Karp & Koi-Karp could be bred to replenish and sell on for a profit to local fishing enthusiasts.

Whilst Sturgeon could be utilised as both a source of edible produce and caviar.

Luxury Items:

Caviar could be collected from breeding sturgeons and sold on as a luxury commodity within the local area.

Honey harvested form incorporated Bee-Hives on the schemes layout. Could be sold within the farm shop as a natural, eco friendly by-product. That will encouraging bio-diversity to the area and help to re-establishing a thriving HoneyBee population as a part of the urban environment. Cod. Haddock.
