PROJECT DES.- The Aim of the project is to design a Modern Art Museum in Lado Sarai, Delhi, Using the Principles of Minimalism to enhance and improve the visitor engagement and perceptions.

The 6 acres of vacant DDA land is proposed for the institutional building where there is the proposal for the Museum Complex. The site is located at Lado Sarai close to the Qutub complex and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with the access from the Mehrauli Badarpur Road. 28°31'24.29"N , 77°11'46.68"E LOCATION :

SITE ANALYSIS

The buildings near the Site are Low Rise buildings having maximum height of 12 to 15 metres

There are two main roads adjacent to the site which are 16 m and 8 m wide respectively.

As the North is mentioned, the sun diagram is showing the sun path along the site.

There is the green zone on the eastern side of the site.

The proposed design envisions a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics and functionality, incorporating sustainable urban planning principles to create a more accessible, vibrant, and inclusive public space. Emphasizing green spaces, efficient infrastructure, and cultural continuity, the project aspires to transform Central Vista into a landmark that reflects the aspirations of a modern India while honoring its storied past. Through innovative architectural solutions and thoughtful urban design, this project seeks to redefine the Central Vista as a dynamic and enduring symbol of national pride and progress.

Inferences- Barricading restricted the middle part of the central vista, India gate and Rashtrapati bhavan The red zone Rashtrapati bhavan is restricted for public and vehicular access For the security concern But the middle central vista and india gate both are restricted for vehicular movement and public access are low.

URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE

SOCIO- CULTURAL ACTIVITY

The Proposed Masterplan for the Redevelopment of Central vista.

The design focuses on enhancing public activity and interactions across the site by incorporating well-distributed public, semi-public, and private zones. The forms and orientations of the built structures align with the site context, and features like waterbodies, courtyards, and shading devices are included to facilitate air circulation and provide cooling effects.

The building heights are designed to maintain a hierarchy, with India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan serving as focal points within and around the site. This emphasizes the seat of power. Except for India Gate, which stands at 42 meters tall.

Initially, significant level differences were observed throughout the site, but upon further inspection, only some areas were found to have high contours while others were relatively flat. India Gate is at the lowest level (216m) while Rashtrapati Bhawan is at the highest (232m).

From India Gate to Vijay Chowk, there is minimal level difference, but the North and South Blocks and Rashtrapati Bhawan are situated at higher altitudes.

PROJECT DES.Ayush, stands for Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy, embodies a holistic healthcare approach rooted in ancient indian traditions. This integrated system seeks the harmony of mind, body, and spirit for optimal well-being. Ayush includes diverse natural and traditional healing practices, such as ayurveda's personalized wellness and balance of doshas, yoga's holistic fitness, unani's fluid balance, siddha's herbal remedies, and homeopathy's principle of like curing like with diluted substances. Together, ayush promotes a comprehensive and balanced approach to health.

The Project envisions a hospital campus designed with a radial zoning approach for different blocks like – hospital, academic, admin, residential, hostels, staff residence, play area, etc. And landscaping follows a radial pattern fostering a holistic environment that seamlessly integrates medical, academic, residential, and recreational spaces. This innovative design aims to enhance the overall wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors while promoting a collaborative and sustainable campus.

AIM

To create a hospital campus featuring a pioneering radial zoning approach, strategically organizing diverse blocks such as hospital, academic, admin, residential, hostels, staff residence, play area, etc

The landscaping follows a radial pattern, fostering a seamless integration of medical, academic, residential, and recreational spaces.

DESIGN PROCESS

• Academic building (g+4) is hierarchically placed beside hospital (g+2) and admin building (g+2) on a single block.

• Main buildings are in the public zone, positioned on the periphery of landscaping.

• Landscaping creates a versatile environment with seating, recreation, and healing zones.

• Enhances visitor well-being, contributing to the therapeutic ambiance.

• Public engagement focus with main buildings at the periphery promotes transparency, accessibility, and a welcoming atmosphere, fostering community and inclusivity.

• Separate areas for services with a dedicated service entry.

• Private spaces for student and staff residences are intentionally separated from public and service areas to ensure privacy. Accommodations for the academic community.

ABOUT THE RUMI DARWAJA

The Rumi Gate, also known as the Rumi Darwaza, is an iconic landmark in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. Standing at 60 feet, this grand gateway exemplifies Mughal and Awadhi architectural styles, with its red sandstone structure adorned with intricate stucco work, floral motifs, and calligraphy. Constructed during a severe famine, it provided employment to thousands, reflecting the Nawab's dedication to his people.

The Rumi Gate's design, inspired by the gateway of Constantinople, features a central arch flanked by smaller niches, showcasing perfect symmetry and detailed ornamentation.

The Rumi Gate, an iconic architectural gateway in Lucknow, does not have a traditional floor plan with multiple rooms or levels but features a grand central archway flanked by smaller niches, all built from red sandstone. This structure, standing at approximately 60 feet, exemplifies Mughal and Awadhi architectural styles with its perfect symmetry, tapering design, and intricate stucco decorations, including floral motifs and calligraphy. The gateway's layout, inspired by the gates of Constantinople, focuses on aesthetic harmony and structural stability, making it a symbol of Lucknow's rich cultural heritage and an enduring tourist attraction.lighting.

In addition to its visual appeal, the Rumi Gate incorporates practical architectural features. The solid base provides a stable foundation, while the tapering top helps distribute the structural load evenly The ornamental details are not merely decorative but also serve to highlight the architectural features, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

Despite being a functional passageway, the Rumi Gate is celebrated more for its aesthetic and cultural significance. Today, it stands as a major tourist attraction and a symbol of Lucknow's rich heritage, often serving as a backdrop for cultural events and festivals, reinforcing its status as a cherished landmark in the city. The Rumi Gate's blend of Persian, Turkish, and Indian architectural elements makes it a unique and enduring symbol of the syncretic culture of 18th-century Lucknow.

PROJECT DES.- This cottage project showcases an idyllic retreat designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings while providing guests with an exquisite experience of comfort and tranquility. As part of my internship, I had the opportunity to contribute to the design and rendering of these cottages, focusing on integrating modern amenities with a rustic charm.
