Local athletes figur~'i e. 'i big in Moeller awards Moeller's basketball and wrestling teams recently announced their award winners. Two area wrestlers dominated the awards. Jon Rice of Sharonville won the Bulldog Award, the Crusader Award and the Most Valuable Wrestler award. Rice went 29-6 this past year and became only the lOth Moeller wrestler to qualify for the state tournament. Rice finishes his high school wrestling career holding the school record for the most takedowns in a season and in a career, as well as four other school records. Ken Darby, of West Chester, won the most improved wrestl,er award. In basketball, West Chester resident Scott Remmy was selected as the most improved player and Matt Messersmith, also of West Chester, earned the team's best field goal percentage, at 52 oercent.
