THE GAME: The Archbishop Moeller Crusaders take on the Talawanda Brave to open OHSAA tournament play. This will be the third meeting all-time between the Crusaders and the Brave. The Crusaders radio call will be broadcasted on WMOE and the Moeller Broadcasting Network with Jeff Schnedl on play-by-play and on color commentary from Kent McKenzie.

TOP DOG AGAIN: The Crusaders enter the OHSAA Tournament as a #1 seed for the 8th time since 2010 and are 42-4 (.913) in the those eight tournaments. Additionally, the Crusaders have made it to at least the Regional Final in all previous tournaments as a #1seed and have played for the State Championship in three of those years.

TOURNEY TIME RECORD: Archbishop Moeller is 151-52 (.744) all-time in the OHSAA Tournament. The Crusaders have made eight apperances in the Final Four; winning five Division I State Championships and finishing as State Runner-Up twice.

GAME NOTES

LEADING ASSISTANTS: Senior, Eric Mahaffey and junior, Roman Mason finished the regular season tied for the most assists per game in the GCL South with 2.8. Mahaffey and Mason are first and second on the team in assists with 61 and 55 respectively.

TWENTY-TWENTY VISION: For the 21st time in program history the Crusaders have won 20 or more games in a season. The Crusaders have won 20 or more games in season in 16 of the last 20 seasons.

SWEEP OF THE SOUTH: With the win last Friday versus La Salle, Archbishop Moeller completed the sweep of the GCL South for the fifth time in the last ten years. This also marked the ninth time the Crusaders have gone undefeated in legaue play in school history.

KINGS OF THE GCL SOUTH: The Crusaders claimed the GCL South Championship outright with a win over St. Xavier on Senior Night. This marked the 26th GCL Championship in program history and the eighth GCL Championship in the last ten seasons.

FLOURISHING IN FAIRFIELD: The Crusaders will be returning to Fairfield Arena to play their sectional games for the fourth time since 2015. The Crusaders are a perfect 8-0 in sectional games in their three previous times playing at Fairfield and have made it to at least the Regional Semifinals in each of the three previous tournaments in which they started at Fairfield.
