Enquirer contributor Seniors Kate Rake! and Sara Rabe were the undisputed leaders of the state champion St. Ursula girls golf team. Rake! proved to be one of the best all-around golfers in Cincinnati with a 41 stroke average, and Rabe was just behind her with an average of 42 strokes. Because both played important roles at the state tournament, shooting identical scores of 162, The Enquirer selects Rake! and Rabe as Co-Players of the Year. When we asked coaches for an opinion as to which Division I boys player deserved The Enquirer's Player of the Yearhon?r, David Wagenseller of Wilmmgton was the on,ly name mentioned. A second-team All State selection, the Ohio State-bound Wagenseller broke every school record, averaging 36.1 strokes per nine holes while ·taking medalist honors 17 times. "David is by far the best golfer
