Aug. 20, by defeating a talented and highly-ranked Middletown team. 31-14 at Middletown Barnett Stadium. The first play of the scrimmage proved to be an ill open for Middletown. It was a routine dive handoff to the right. but defensive lineman Kevin Gilles stripped the ball loose, scooped the fumble and ran 30 yards for a shocking score. Placekicker Adam Hyzdu kicked the extra point. and seconds Into the contest, Moeller led 7-0.
