The Moeller Cross Country city'iil 1 the coaches' first poll of the season. Elder ranked first.

Ranking in the top ten of the coaches' girls cross country polls were Sycamore in fourth place and Ursuline in sixth. ' Lakota finished first; the team performed well at the 1987-88 state championship.

In boys golf, three area schools were chosen in the top ten. Sycamore camP- in second to the Milford Eagles, Indian Hill ranked fourth, and in the seventh slot was Moeller.

Wayne Wisniewski ("87) Is the top C.C. runner at the University of Dayton. Tom Preiss ('88) Is tops at Webster University, St. Louis. On the homefront, Mike Brewer placed 6th out of 105 runners at the AAA Brookville Invitational In which 40 teams competed. Brewer's time of 16:25 seconds Is the second fastest Moeller time In the last six years. trailing Wisniewski's 1986 record by 24 seconds.

Crusader defensive end Mike Schiess recently performed great In the Army's Physical Aptitude Evaluation URSULINE BOWS TO Test. The test was developed by NORTHWEST. Indian Hill soccer team, 102-0, Is first In the Cincinnati Hills League (3-0-0 CHL). In the most recent Enquirer's coaches poll IH rated number one in class A-AA.

Due to the hard work of Moeller Soccer Head Coach Randy Hurley and the several young men on the team. the Crusaders are now ranking in the polls with the best of them.

Moeller, overall 10-2-1. and 41-1 In the Greater Cincinnati League. third In the jeague behind Roger Bacon( I 0-1-2. and 4-1-1) and Elder (7-1-2 and 4-1-1). Is hanging tough.

The coaches poll ranked them seventh in the city (class AAA). a mere three notches below Sycamore.

Girls soccer is keeping up in our area also. Ursuline was at the top of the heap with an undefeated season, 10-0-0. as of last Thursday. and the Enquirer coaches reiteratec..J
