We’ve done the testing, and the results are in. Australian timbers handle our climate better than the imported timbers that some suppliers are using. We use these Australian timbers to build Moduplay Bushwood.
Also known as “Cypress Pine” – although not truly a species of pine either - it has an exceptionally dense heartwood that is extremely durable and naturally resistant to termite attack. In fact it requires no chemical treatment for in-ground installation if all sapwood (the outer white ring of timber) has been removed. All the Cypress Pine we use is renewable and plantation sourced.
Jarrah enjoys something of a legendary status amongst timber species for its beauty and durability. The deep, rich red colourings of the wood grain enhance Bushwood wherever it is used. Every piece is selected from sustainable, controlled sources to ensure Jarrah remains a timber for all Australians to use and enjoy.
We’ve been creating play equipment from Australian timbers since 1989. The craftsmen in our Playground Joinery workshop build every piece by hand taking care to meet our stringent safety and quality standards. Every piece of timber is hand-picked for character and nuances that will enhance the finished product. Our timber playground builders use their creativity to ensure the best outcome with every Bushwood product.
Australia’s own range of natural timber play elements. Where children can touch, feel and smell the natural timber of our beautifully handcrafted Moduplay Bushwood. With all timber locally and sustainably sourced this is truly playground equipment with a small ecological footprint.
