ACTIVITY SHEET SCIENCE BEHIND BACKYARD BINGO Backyard Bingo is a great way to get outside and get in touch with what is going on around you. There are so many interesting things to see if you just slow down and take a closer look. Animals can be found living almost anywhere. Some of the smaller ones such as ants and bugs can be found crawling around on the ground and in the vegetation. Birds might be seen up in the trees or flying about. Think about where the animals you are looking for would spend their days. They may be looking for food, hiding from the sun or the rain, or traveling from one place to another. These are all helpful clues to make your search more successful. You may also want to take a closer look at the plants and the trees around you. Does the bark on different trees look the same? Is the bark rough or smooth? Are the leaves different sizes and do they have different textures and colors? All of these differences are what makes nature so fascinating.
