PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE WELCOME TO THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR! For five decades, MODS has partnered with educators to bring the Museum’s mission of Connecting People to Inspiring Science to life. Through hands-on learning experiences, we spark curiosity, strengthen classroom connections and help learners see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators and stewards of the future. This year, learners will discover exciting new and refreshed experiences across the Museum. Build a Better World: The Future Begins with You connects environmental learning and character development through interactive experiences that bring South Florida ecosystems to life, including the Atlantic and Pacific Coral Reef Habitats, the Mangrove Mangal Climber and the Everglades Theater, featuring Lilly, an artificial intelligence-powered river otter. New experiences are expanding learning throughout the Museum. The refreshed To Fly exhibit brings aviation science to life through new flight simulator. Learners can also experience MODS’ HoloTheater, which blends holographic technology, panoramic visuals and spatial audio to transport them into the extraordinary world of Dinosaur Discoveries: A Holographic Adventure. The year ahead will bring even more opportunities for discovery. The updated Storm Center will immerse learners in an FPL control center preparing for a hurricane. Phase 2 of Build a Better World will introduce new exhibit zones focused on the character strengths of caring, confidence, cooperation, critical thinking and real-world climate resilience solutions. We will also open the MODS Deerfield Beach Nature Center, creating new opportunities for environmental learning and deeper connections to South Florida’s natural world. Beyond the Museum walls, MODS continues to bring science directly to schools through artificial intelligence workshops, STEMobile programs and the GeoDome portable planetarium. These programs help learners explore emerging technologies, scientific inquiry and real-world problem-solving in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways. Title I schools may qualify for free experiences Title I schools may qualify for free experiences through a variety of MODS’ or Broward County School District programs. We invite you to plan a field trip, schedule an in-school program or customize a MODS learning experience that supports your classroom goals and inspires your learners long after the lesson ends. To inspiring science and building a better world,

Joseph P. Cox President & CEO
