As I write to you from a sunny Kent garden with several catch up Vogue copies scattered around me, things do not seem so bad I could simply be on a city escape home before returning to my life in busy London My boyfriend’s dog who rolls around besides me is certainly none the wiser A glance at my phone, however, immediately shatters this momentary calm The new ‘C’ word, plastered on every headline: coronavirus After having my study semester abroad in Berlin cancelled, the propensity to mope was at an all time high. A quick google of the overwhelmed NHS hospitals, however, provides a prompt reality check of my privilege to be able to stay home whilst others risk their lives on the frontline every day That said adaption to this new way of life isn’t easy. For many of us, myself included, a shift of mindset is needed to help us get through the next few weeks, or (eek!) months Now is the time to complete that tricky side split skirt you drew the pattern for and never finished, the time to restart your blog, to explore your creative goals and work on yourself You've got this!
