Pianist Richard Goode has been hailed for making music with tremendous emotional power, depth, and expressiveness, and is known worldwide as one of today’s leading interpreters of Classical and Romantic music. In regular performances with the major orchestras, in recitals in the world’s music capitals, and through his extensive and acclaimed Nonesuch recordings, he has won a large and devoted following. The evening’s program will include Two Pavians and Galliardes from William Byrd’s My Ladye Nevells of Virginal Music Booke; Bach’s English Suite No. 6 in D Minor; Beethoven’s Sonata No. 28 in A Major Op. 101; and Debussy’s Preludes Book II.
