Moi International Airport, Mombasa receives international recognition from Airports Council International.

Airports Council International (ACI), the voice of world airports, has awarded Moi International Airport (MIA), Mombasa, with the coveted Best Airport by Size and Region - Under 2 Million Passengers per year in Africa Category for the year 2022, in recognition of exceptional customer service.

The award was based on ACI's renowned Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Surveywhichcapturespassengers'experienceatallairportpassengercontact points at more than 300 airports worldwide. ASQ is the world's leading airport customer experience measurement and benchmarking program with closeto400participatingairportsin95countries.

The recognition of MIA's excellence in customer service comes after a challenging period for the aviation industry marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.Despitethedifficulties,MIAhascontinuedtoprioritizecustomer experience, demonstrating its commitment to providing passengers with a stress-freetravelexperience.
