Per decenni, i revolver sono rimasti sostanzialmente invariati. Alcuni sono cresciute in termini di dimensioni, peso, calibro e potenza. Altri hanno lavorato per renderli piccolo, leggeri e occultabili. Ma, se si confronta un revolver dal 1920 ad uno fatto lo scorso anno ci sarebbero molte più somiglianze che differenze. La Chiappa Rhino ha cambiato queste “regole” e non solo ha fatto il cambiamento ma il cambiamento è totalmente rivoluzionario. For decades, revolvers have remained essentially unchanged. Some have grown in size, weight, caliber and power. Others have shrunk to be small, lightweight and concealable.

But, if you compare a revolver from the 1920’s to one made just last year there would be many more similarities than differences. The Chiappa Rhino is changing that. It is a complete paradigm shift in revolvers. Instead of merely being another evolutionary change, it truly is revolutionary.

Il Chiappa Rhino è stato lo sviluppo più innovativo nella tecnologia dei revolver in decenni, se non dalla creazione della pistola stessa. I’avere abbandonato le tradizioni ed i concetti progettuali precedenti hanno portato la Rhino ad avere dei miglioramenti tali da spingerla nel 21° secolo. L’impugnatura non convenzionale, e la canna posizionata a ore 6, hanno permesso di portare l'asse del foro quasi al palmo della mano del tiratore e quindi di ridurre drasticamente il movimento della canna verso l’alto e la sensazione di rinculo. Un telaio in lega di alluminio ad alta resistenza rende l’arma leggera e facile da trasportare. Le Picatinny presenti sulle canne delle versioni da 4 ", 5" e 6 " permettono un facile montaggio di accessori. I modelli da botte 6 "sono dotati di due Picatinny sia sopra che sotto. Il cane esterno in realtà non funge da vero “cane” ma solamente come leva di armamento del cane che si trova all’interno dell’arma permettendo così l’utilizzo anche in singola azione. Un indicatore rosso posizionato vicino al cane ha il compito di segnalare quando il cane è armato. E’ disponibile nelle misure canna 2”-4”-5”-6”, nei colori Nero e Nichel e nei calibri 357mag, 40S&W, (9mm,9x21a richiesta)- The Rhino is the most innovative development in revolver technology in decades, if not since the creation of the revolver itself. Refusing to be constrained by tradition and previous design limitations, the Rhino has improvements that move the revolver forward into the 21st century. Unconventional in appearance and superior by performance, the Rhino fi res from the bottom of the cylinder rather than the top. This dramatically reduces muzzle rise and recoil felt by lowering the axis of the bore almost to the palm of the shooters hand. An aluminum alloy frame and barrel shroud make the Rhino lightweight and easy to carry. Accessory rails on the bottom of the barrel shroud on the 4”, 5” and 6” barrel models easily allow mounting lights or lasers. The 6” barrel models come with both rails on top and bottom to easily mount optics as well as lights or lasers.The snag resistant “hammer” is actually a cocking device because of the Rhino’s innovative completely enclosed fi ring mechanism which can be fi red either single or double action. A cocked indicator is clearly visible to indicate the internal hammer status. Another innovation is the hexagonal cylinder which keeps the revolver’s width to a minimum. Available in 2”, 4”, 5” and 6” barrel models in black or stainless fi nishes, all Rhino revolvers feature an easy to see fi ber optic front sight.
