There are specific materials and fabrics that are markers of the ultimate commemoratory events. There’s nothing more enchanting than feeling the brush of rich velvet on your skin as you toast a colleague or the weight of a beaded dress while gracefully (or clumsily) gliding across a dance floor. Sleek black looks encourage elevated versions of our selves to stand straighter and smile brighter and fabrics and materials that reflect light, put us in the mood to celebrate. As December 10th approaches, here at Moda, we’re filled with excitement for a spectacular soiree of our own. Over the course of the semester, we’ve written, planned then executed photoshoots, edited… and edited again and thoughtfully planned the layout for not simply a magazine, but a work of art. In commencement of our hard work, we (and hopefully you as well) will be in attendance of our most festive event of the semester, our print issue Launch Party. Now, if you’ve been cluelessly rummaging through your closet, bursting with fleece sweaters and skinny jeans, in preparation as we have, you may be experiencing one of those “I have nothing to wear” moments. Luckily, we’ve jam-packed this lookbook with ensembles that are sure to get everyone from the traditional dresser to the city chic stylista noticed.
