Michele is an experienced hairdresser and colour specialist with a deep passion for helping her clients look and feel their best. Her entrepreneurial spirit and desire to innovate led her to create a unique tool designed to bridge a noticeable gap in the hairdressing industry.

Launched in 2024, the Colourist Board is a revolutionary resource that supports hair professionals in accurately identifying and working with their clients’ skin tones to deliver personalised colour results. Inspired by both the science of colour analysis and the art of hairdressing, the tool features a dual-sided design. One side is dedicated to clothing colour swatches that demonstrate how colours affect the skin’s appearance, and the other side provides a universal hair colour guide tailored for professional use.

Michele was motivated to develop the Colourist Board after noticing that many clients requested colours that didn’t necessarily complement their natural tones, especially during the rise of trends like ash blonde and cowboy copper. As a result, she set out to create a practical, educational solution that would empower stylists to make more informed decisions in their colour services.

The Colourist Board is proudly Australian made, designed, and printed. Michele also offers clothing swatch packs that help clients make informed wardrobe choices to enhance their overall look and connecting the worlds of hair and fashion.

In addition to product development, Michele is currently studying to become a certified colour analyst and personal stylist. She travels across Australia to host in-person workshops, where she teaches hairdressers how to assess skin tones and vein colours hands-on, building confidence in their colour decisions.

Her long-term vision is to have the Colourist Board integrated into TAFE and hairdressing curriculums nationwide, ensuring the next generation of stylists are equipped to colour with precision and purpose with a strong focus on skin tone and the impact this has on colour choice.
