GODDESS Has Arrived!

The Brand Built for Salons, Backed by Science

By Louise May

When a brand like Goddess enters the Australian salon scene, it’s not just a product drop—it’s a movement. Designed by stylists, powered by science, and launched with purpose, Goddess Maintenance Co. is rewriting the rules of hair care, one strand at a time. It’s modern, female-founded, and backed by the same disruptive force that brought industry icons like Olaplex

At the helm of the brand’s Australian debut is Simon Pitt, a respected figure in hairdressing and professional distribution with four decades of experience. Through his new venture Salon Pro Aus (SPA), Simon is leading the charge to bring Goddess to salons around the country, starting with the launch of its hero product: BioTech

We caught up with Simon to talk about this bold new brand, what makes it different, and why Goddess isn’t just another salon product—it’s a high performance ritual for modern hair.

Simon, before we dive into Goddess, tell us about your industry background and what led you to this moment. I’ve been in the hair and beauty industry for over 40 years. I started on the salon floor and managed salons for more than a decade before moving into sales in the UK in the ‘90s with the Wella/Sebastian brand. I migrated to Australia in 2000 and worked in Trade Marketing at Wella, then became General Manager of the Sebastian brand

Since then, I’ve led national sales teams at Schwarzkopf Professional, helped build the Cloud Nine irons business in Victoria, and was part of the foundational launch team for

ELEVEN Australia with Ozdare. I’ve also driven the sales of ECOHEADS, launched Cezanne Keratin Smoothing Treatment in Australia, and most recently brought K18 to market nationally—one of the most successful salon brand launches in recent memory.

This year I launched Salon Pro Aus, a new distribution business focused on meaningful, results-driven products— and our first brand is Goddess.

So, let’s talk Goddess. What’s the story behind the brand?

Goddess Maintenance Co. was founded by two salon owner sisters from the Midwest of the United States, Lauren Vesler and Manda Mason. They had a clear vision: to build a luxury self-care line that blended science, simplicity, and empowerment, starting with haircare and expanding to become a head-to-toe offering.

They’ve partnered with Ed Connaghan and Denise Russell; the same powerhouse duo that helped bring both Olaplex and K18 to market. That level of experience and success speaks volumes—they know what professionals need, and they understand how to create category-defining brands.

Goddess is built on smart SKUs powered by proprietary technology, and it’s created with salon professionals in mind. It’s aspirational but grounded in results.

What is the first product launch from Goddess, and how does it work?

Our debut product is the BioTech BlowOut—a powered, leave-in treatment that delivers multi-layered protection and performance in a single step. It uses a dual peptide system, with a micropeptide to reinforce the hair’s cortex from the inside out and a macropeptide that shields the cuticle, protecting it from heat, humidity, pollution, and environmental stressors.

The results are immediate and impressive. It enhances curl retention by 38%, strengthens hair by 173%, provides heat protection up to 232°C, reduces frizz, adds visible fullness, and blocks up to 90% of environmental buildup. It’s designed to be used on every client, with no extra time added to the service.

Think of it like an espresso shot of defence and strength—high-impact, easy to use, and genuinely transformational. Whether blow-drying or air-drying, it slots into any salon service or home routine seamlessly.

Who is BioTech BlowOut for?

Every client. Every hair type. Every finish. Whether your client is straightening, curling, embracing natural texture, or simply blow-drying for smoothness, this product fits. It’s particularly great for clients who struggle with frizz, damage, or density—because it not only protects, it improves hair health and appearance over time.

From a professional standpoint, it’s about delivering value in every appointment. Stylists can use it on every single guest without added time or processing—just better results and longer-lasting finishes.

What does the opening order look like for salons interested in trying it out?

We’ve made it incredibly accessible. The minimum opening order is just $400, and that includes both the 300ml pro mask for in-salon use and the 50ml retail version for clients to purchase and maintain results at home. The 50ml retails at $75.00, which reflects the performance and premium nature of the formula.

We want salons to feel confident trialling the brand and building it into their services without pressure.

How and when can salons order Goddess in Australia?

It’s available now. Salons can visit www.salonproaus. com.au or reach out directly via info@salonproaus. com.au to place orders or get more information. We’re also here to support salons with education, retail tools, and service menu ideas to help integrate BioTech BlowOut easily and effectively.

From your perspective, what makes Goddess stand out in a very saturated market?

There’s real intent behind Goddess—it’s built by stylists who understand the day-to-day of salon life, but it’s also elevated by proven innovators who know how to scale a brand and create global impact. It doesn’t try to be everything. It’s focused, smart, and beautifully executed. The formulation speaks for itself, but what I really admire is the clarity of purpose: clean, powerful, luxury self-care that genuinely performs. The aesthetic is modern and beautiful, the results are real, and it fits the needs of today’s salon business. For me, it’s a brand that respects the professional while giving clients something indulgent and effective. That’s a rare mix.

A word from Jordan Alexander who has joined Goddess Maintenance Co as Vice President of Global Sales and Education... Over the past 10 years, working with Ed Connaghan, Denise Russel and Simon Pitt, I’ve worked on launching some amazing brands in more than 60 countries around the world. I am extremely excited to be launching Goddess with Simon in Australia and looking to new innovation within our industry, starting with a brand-new product category called BioProtection. We’ve spent the past decade focused on repair, however if we are to look at hair as the only accessory we never take off, why not protect it and never let it get damaged in the first place? We are excited to announce this launch available now throughout Australia. Protect every client with every service whether in-salon or at-home.

With Goddess Maintenance Co., Australian salons now have access to a brand that blends modern elegance with meaningful innovation. At the forefront of this launch is Simon Pitt—whose eye for what the industry needs next has never missed. From his time behind the chair to championing brands like ELEVEN, K18, and now Goddess, Simon continues to shape the future of salon success.

Goddess isn’t just another product—it’s a ritual, a statement, and a celebration of strength, science, and style.
