obile Screening and Crushing NZ (MSC) is celebrating 25 years in business. The company was formed in 1995 by director Andy Meikle. The milestone marks how MSC has grown to become a leading provider of material processing equipment and services, says Andy. Since its formation, MSC has placed more than 260 mobile screening and recycling units throughout New Zealand. From an early stage, operations focused on high-quality product and the ability to provide customers with crucial hands-on experience forged during the 40 plus years the MSC team has been involved in the industry. This strategy has remained unchanged through the years. The company has stood the test of time as an established dealership of screening and crushing equipment to the extractive and recycling industries in New Zealand. “We’ve always focused on ways to help our client’s needs; we pride ourselves on delivering the right solution and after-sales support,” says Andy. For more than 25 years, MSC has developed a reputation for providing solutions for difficult-to-process materials, including aggregates, compost, peat, palm kernel, animal feed, woodchips, soils, bark, asphalt,

ith significant growth in the recycling market, Mobile Screening and Crushing (MSC) is proud to offer Terex Ecotec’s range of processing, biomass, and recycling equipment as part of their product portfolio. “We’ve seen significant growth area in New Zealand, as councils are turning their backs on landfill and becoming more recycling focused,” says MSC director Andy Meikle. Terex Ecotec’s comprehensive range of shredder, recycling screens, handling equipment, and stacking conveyors aids MSC to offer the complete package solution for medium- to large-scale processing operations. “We are proud to be exclusive New Zealand agents for the full Terex Ecotec range. This has strengthened our position within the waste sector and we have now established a very strong working relationship with many of the New Zealand’s waste recycling companies,” says Andy.
TDS 825 Slow Speed Shredder The Terex Ecotec range of waste shredders include slow, medium, and high speeds. Customisable shredding programs allow operators to configure the machine to their specific requirements. Hydrostatic drive offers protection against contamination and allows for bi-directional shredding, while independent gearboxes enable each shaft to run separately helping to reduce contaminant wrappage and improve the shredding of material. The shredder features 2.5-metre long shafts made from solid steel, has fully welded tooth configuration, and hydraulic folding hopper extensions, which allow for increased capacity. “The robust TDS 825 is impressive with extremely high production rate and excellent size reduction. This high-capacity machine is deal for large scale operations,” says Dan Meikle, MSC operations manager.

As part of their product portfolio, MSC offers market-leading Lloyd Rotastar screening buckets by Lloyd Engineering. Unrivalled performance, durability, and consistency of Lloyd buckets are the reasons why MSC say they continue to be the New Zealand’s number-one screening bucket distributor. “The equipment is impressive in a large range of material, including wet products. Clients often come to us with difficult applications, materials, or sites, and we offer expert advice on the best machinery for their individual requirements,” says Andy Meikle, MSC director. “These buckets fill the gap in the demand for smaller screening unit to process soils, compost, and aggregates that are well priced yet still able to fulfil contractors’ requirements for a quality product and throughput rates.” There are seven differently-sized Lloyd Rotastar buckets available, from the smallest RS 2–4 model (two- to four-tonne excavator) right up to the RS 20–30 model (20- to 30-tonne excavator).
