Congratulations, Spartan! You have worked hard throughout your time at MBU, and graduation day is near. We can’t wait to celebrate your achievements. Here are some things you should know:
The 2026 commencement exercises will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the St. Charles Family Arena. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Participants must arrive by 6:30 p.m. Parking is free. Unlimited number of guests allowed.
EVERYONE MUST TURN IN A CEREMONY PARTICIPATION FORM BY March 2, 2026
• ACADEMIC REGALIA – Caps and gowns ordered by January 23rd will be distributed at Senior Salute Day on March 2nd in the Records Office. If you did not order your cap and gown by March 6th contact the Records Office at 314-392-2233 to place an order.
*All regalia MUST be picked up by 4:30 p.m. on May 4, 2026 in the Records Office.
• GRADUATION DRESS – At the ceremony, business casual attire is required.
• ANNOUNCEMENTS – Personalized announcements may be ordered from Herff Jones at www.herffjones.com/missouribaptist .
FINANCIAL AID EXIT COUNSELING: Students who received Federal Direct Loans or TEACH Grants are required to complete Exit Counseling upon completion of your degree. For Federal Loan Borrowers, go to https://studentaid.gov/exit-counseling/, then choose the prompt matching your degree level (Undergraduate or Graduate). For TEACH Grant recipients go to https://studentaid.gov/teach-grant-program and choose "Teach Grant Exit Counseling". Questions? • GRADUATION FEE- All students will be charged a grad fee in accordance with the university catalog whether or not they participate in the graduation ceremony. If the fee for graduation is not showing on your last semester’s bill, please contact Recordsoffice@mobap.edu
• SPRING GRADUATES TAKING COURSES AT ANOTHER INSTITUTION: To be considered for participation with honors, the Records Office must receive signed confirmation of the anticipated grade from the instructor by Monday, April 27, 2026.
-Those who are attending Jefferson College in the Spring 2026 semester must request anticipated grades from Stacey Wilson, Registrar by Monday, April 27, 2026.
•QUALIFICATIONS FOR HONORS- Only Fall and Spring undergraduates who have completed all requirements for graduation are recognized at commencement by the wearing of gold honors cords. The cords will be handed out at the check-in table at the arena. Summer undergraduates who qualify for honors, upon completion of all course requirements at the end of August, will receive their honors cords with their diplomas. Masters and above degrees do not have academic honors.
IMPORTANT DATES:
March 2: SENIOR SALUTE DAY 12:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. in the Records Office Suite in the Field Academic Building.
CEREMONY PARTICIPATION FORMS ARE DUE BY MARCH 2nd. We will continue to get a hold of you for this information. ALL graduates must complete the Ceremony Participation Form – a personalized link will be sent in a separate email.
March 20: Last day to make financial arrangements with the Business Office; graduation fee due.
March 20: All students must call the Provost Office at 314-392-2113 to submit the pronunciation of their name and follow the instructions on the recording as soon as possible.
March 30: Summer graduates must be registered for courses needed to complete graduation requirements. Please contact recordsoffice@mobap.edu for questions.
April 23: Senior Day

April 24: Deadline to pay fines and clear holds.
April 27: Spring graduates’ grades due to the Records Office.
May 2: Conferral date for those whose requirements for graduation are completed by Spring 2026.
May 5: COMMENCEMENT
