UNDERSTAND HABITUAL sin in the same area can be used to build a fortress around a lie fed to us by the evil one Strongholds can be dormant until we decide to serve Christ in the way He commands, then all kinds of madness breaks out in our life. Why? Because the owner of the stronghold wants to discredit our faith in Christ and force us to give up.
Strongholds are only activated when the conditions are right to do the greatest damage to a person’s name, reputation, faith, life or ministry.
Signs of a stronghold Person lying with no sense of conviction over sin Behaviour always contrary to accepted norms. Sometimes it seems the person has two contradictory personalities. Selective memory loss Strife and confusion surrounds their life affecting anyone close to them
Strong evidence of a sinful lifestyle Prayer without results; life without godly impact on people or situations

Strongholds exist in the mind So you must pull down your own strongholds You must bring wayward thoughts and ungodly ideas into obedience to Christ’s authority 2 Corinthians 10:4,5; Romans 8:6-8,13; Only when you have successfully done this can your life have godly impact for God 2 Corinthians 10:6
