Meet Again This quarter, we experienced the rewarding experience of meeting again, after a couple of years of pandemic and restrictions where we could not do activities for the benefit of our people. Both in family and work life, the reunion creates an opportunity to enjoy interpersonal relationships, beyond our daily responsibilities, allowing us to connect with others in the emotional dynamics, enjoying different spaces for conversation, recreation and joy, which make working life a pleasant moment to recharge energy. We all have obligations and goals to meet, objectives to achieve or walls to cross, these can be work or personal, however, focusing exclusively on these challenges, neglecting the way we relate to others, poses a risk of emotional disconnection in the work relationship that can play against us when we want to meet the objectives or goals set. It has been widely demonstrated that success in the organization is not achieved exclusively with a focus on numbers and results, but that true success is achieved by connecting emotionally with those we work with, in such a way as to know their concerns, aspirations and fears, so that meeting personally, looking at each other's faces, and understanding the different realities, it is a space for tremendous learning, enjoyment, and growth. Being able to gather the family for Children's Day and celebrate widely with our people in the plants such an important holiday for Chileans as the Fiestas Patrias (National Holidays), was a great experience that encourages us to continue finding ways to help our people walk through walls.

Since 2013
The human team of Chillán and Cabrero Plants is key to the achievement of our objectives. Vast experience and great adaptability characterize our employees at both plants, who have been able to evolve and innovate according to the demands of the environment. As part of our corporate strategy, in 2013, Masonite purchased two plants in Chile from Masisa, one of its suppliers. One of them made doors (Chillán) and the other, the components for the operation of the first. With these acquisitions, our company ensured its self-sufficiency. The incorporation of the plants into Masonite implied a series of adjustments, as its collaborators had a different organizational culture and were accustomed to a different production system. However, they also constituted a very good team, with vast experience and an outstanding safety culture; characteristics that, together with a new administration, contributed to the fact that, after a year, Chillán Plant already had the expected results.
Another important milestone was, in 2018, the transfer of the Components Plant from Masisa site to our current facilities in Cabrero, a change that meant having a more orderly flow of production, as well as starting manufacturing for the plants in Santiago, Mexico and Canada. Similarly, the acquisition of a scanner and an automatic cutting line made this function faster and meant that we no longer depended on the human factor for the quality of our products.

Challenges Although during these ten years various improvements have been implemented aimed at optimizing processes and the well-being of our employees, both plants must face the challenges imposed by an increasingly changing and demanding market. In the case of the Components Plant (Cutstock), these are mainly focused on trying to automate all the power supplies of the machines, as well as having a second cutting line and electric forklifts, in order to produce as many as possible with the same number of employees. Meanwhile, for Chillán Plant, always challenged by other producers who reach the same markets as ours, it is vital to preserve its ability to innovate, which has allowed us to remain competitive over time.
Voices of the protagonists Leonardo Cid, Cabrero Plants Manager. "In these years, the contributions have been mutual. The people with their experience, their safety culture and their human quality have facilitated their incorporation into our company. We have learned from them and today we are a great Masonite team."
Jorge Osorio, Chillán Plant Manager. "The market is complex. Therefore, the message to our employees is that this period is a great opportunity to see how we can do things better. The big change is in us, in going out and looking for new product options and buyers."

Helping our customers walk through walls
We expanded two key services for the Builder sector and incorporated a new sales channel for the Hardware stores sector Following the demand for products that require less intervention in the installation process and that comply with State regulations, Masonite Chile's Sales Team has extended its pre-hanging and slats installation services to our customers. In addition, we integrate the role of Hardware Stores Channel Salesperson to know their needs directly.
The biulding industry is experiencing a significant change in its focus on efficiency and sustainability, due to the new regulations for decontamination and use of materials established by the Ministry of the Environment, through the Environmental Decontamination Plan (PDA), and the Ministry of Energy, through the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (SEC). In this context, we have expanded to our clients in the builders sector two comprehensive solutions that provide a higher degree of completion and comply with environmental regulations, which are the pre-hanging and the installation of slats, which have experienced a sustained demand over time.
Pre-hung Pre-hanging is a solution that revolutionizes the way doors are delivered, by including not only the product itself, but also the frame and hinges in a single package. This eliminates the need to purchase these components separately and significantly simplifies the installation process. With this service, the customer receives a product that has to intervene less, reducing installation times and increasing the performance of the work. Nowadays, master carpenters are looking for a product that arrives almost ready, and in the world of industry it is a service that is becoming more and more requested.

Installation of slats Another booming service is the installation of slats, which are ventilation solutions aimed at the safety of people, due to the use of gas in kitchens, heaters, etc. These allow air circulation and are installed on doors, mainly at the top or bottom. Its demand has been steadily increasing due to increasing regulations requiring better ventilation in residential buildings.
"This position was created with the aim of increasing our sales in the country. In the search for growth opportunities, we realized that we did not have a presence in local hardware stores, so we added a new channel exclusively for this sector," says our Builders Sales Manager, Iván Goñi. Juan Riveros, who served as Lean Leader at Santiago Plant, began at the end of July to exercise this new position, in which he will have to visit our customers and perform a survey of information regarding their needs, in addition to making a search for potential customers who are present in the country.
THE VOICE OF THE PROTAGONISTS Adding sustainable solutions In addition to responding to the needs of construction, at Masonite we adapt to the PDA standards dictated by the Superintendence of the Environment, implementing seals and insulating materials on doors to reduce energy loss and improve thermal conditions in homes and buildings. In this case, what we did was to deliver a constructive solution consisting of the installation of seals that prevent the passage of additional air that, in the end, is energy. This is placed around the entire perimeter of the door, which allows it to be completely airtight when closed.
A new channel for the hardware stores industry To strengthen our presence in the market and improve our customer service, we added the role of Hardware Channel Salesperson to the Sales Team. This strategic approach will allow us to have direct communication with customers, initially in Santiago Region, but then at the national level. Iván Goñi, Builders Sales Manager. "Our commitment is to help customers get through walls, through doors that do more. For this reason, in recent years we have been expanding our improvement services, with solutions that are at the forefront of new demands and the demands of regulatory bodies".
Juan Riveros, Salesman. "With this new position that I assume, the idea is to get closer to our customers and listen directly to their requirements, see what they need and explain to them, through the knowledge I gained working in the Production Area, what are the best uses they can give to our products".

Masonite Volunteering
We continue to develop initiatives in favor of the community
On this occasion, children and the elderly benefited from the selfless help of the employees of all our plants.
Once again, we demonstrate through our volunteering that camaraderie and solidarity are part of our organizational culture. This is how workers from all our plants moved to different parts of their respective communes to perform initiatives aimed at the well-being of children and the elderly.
Chillán Plant: repair of the San Bartolomé Scout Group room The activity of our volunteers consisted of painting the room that the San Bartolomé Scout Group, made up of 15 children between the ages of 6 and 10, uses every day. In addition to this improvement, two pieces of furniture with doors were manufactured, which are intended to contribute to the order of the place, giving the children a space to store their stuff. The following employees participated in this initiative: Cynthia Bustamante, Luis Candia, Moisés Daza, César Flores, Iván Garrido, Bernabé Lagos, Patricia Maldonado, Richard Opazo, Héctor Palma and Leonardo Ponce.

Santiago Plant: entertaining afternoon at the nursing home Songs and games were part of the entertaining afternoon that our employees spent with the grandparents and officials who are part of the Las Rosas de Lampa Foundation Nursing Home. The activity fulfilled our objective of accompanying the seniors and taking them out of their routine for a while, enjoying bingo games, music, and delicious empanadas. This meeting also featured a mime, who through his art cheered up the residents of the place. The conference was attended by the following employees: Luz Alvarado, Karen Díaz, Luis Hormazábal, Danitza Martínez, Pascuala Rojas, Pablo Salas and Kevin Vergara.
Cabrero Plants: new doors for access to homes In order to improve the accessibility of the homes of two children who use wheelchairs, our employees changed the main doors of both houses along with modifying the window of one of them and painting the interior of the other. The homes were chosen by the Disability Office of the city of Cabrero and thanks to the solidarity of our volunteers they will make the day-to-day life of the children who live in them more bearable. The following employees participated in this activity: Juan Bravo, Víctor Cáceres, Jaime Castillo, Jovanna Delgado, Eduardo Echeverría, Nelson Escobar, Skarlet Fernández, Víctor Fonseca, Ángela González, Karen Martínez, Susana Riquelme, René Merino, Humberto Salazar, Sergio Seguel, Nicolás Urrutia and Helio Véliz.

In the aftermath of the pandemic:
Employees and families came together again to celebrate our important milestones together Activities scheduled for both Children's Day and the National Holidays allowed us to meet again and enjoy together as in the old days.
We missed this and it was noted. That is why, when resuming our traditional activities to celebrate this year's Children's Day and, subsequently, our National Holidays, the attendance and active participation of the employees and their families stood out, as we resumed these initiatives in person.
The film selected was "Elements", which we enjoyed in an exclusive screening at Hoyts Cinema in Quilicura, Chillán and Los Angeles, on the morning of Saturday, August 12. Masonite's human resources team welcomed the guests, who also enjoyed a tasty snack of drinks and popcorn.
Childrens's Day: movies, laughter anda much more We celebrated Children's Day with around 300 sons, daughters and fathers, who attended an entertaining day of cinema.

For two hours we stopped the operations of the plants and gathered to share food and typical games, traditional dances and live music. The activities took place on September 13 at Santiago Plant, on September 15 at Chillán Plant and on September 21 at Cabrero Plants. The team of Santiago Plant stood out, who arrived mostly dressed in their typical costumes and made a presentation of our National Dance.

Another relevant point was the "ornament your workplace" contest, an initiative where the areas made their “ramadas” (shelters) with the most diverse settings. Our Human Resources Manager, Henry Rodriguez, who participated in all the activities of the event, highlighted the spirit and high adherence in all the facilities. "You really noticed how eager we were to meet again and celebrate these holidays together with our teams. I want to highlight the creativity and energy with which everyone joined the activities, especially in a year that brings us together, as we will soon celebrate 25 years in Chile and where we must continue to work together as a single great team," he said.

Historical Milestone:
Our General Manager, Felipe Celis, presented Strategy 2024-2028 to Masonite's CEO and leadership team
For the first time in the history of our branch, our General Manager presented the results and projections of the company in Chile, before the President of our company at the facilities in Tampa, United States, being well evaluated and supported by the corporate. Happy with the results obtained in the trip made during the week of September 11 to the headquarters of Masonite, our General Manager, Felipe Celis, was satisfied. For the first time, our General Manager was able to present the 2024-2028 Business Strategy, representing not only Chile, but all of Latin America, in front of Howard Heckes, President & Chief Executive Officer; Chris Ball, President Global Residential; and the entire Global Leadership Team at Masonite's Headquarters in Tampa, USA. Along with that, he also toured the Lawrenceville, Fort Mill, Charlotte and Endura plants. In the same way, he highlighted that, in the various meetings held, he was able to verify the atmosphere of collaboration among the company's leaders, the clear spirit of orientation towards obtaining results; as well as the urgency of achieving rapid growth, the decision to grow through innovation and the importance of aligning with the needs of customers and consumers to meet their expectations.
At the same time, after visiting the plants and points of sale, some actions emerged that are going to be evaluated locally to launch them in Chile as well. "Without a doubt, it was an extremely productive week, as I was able to perceive first-hand, the moment, the strategy and the challenges facing the company. I return from this great experience with the total certainty of the tremendous support that the company is giving us and with the confidence that we have the strategies, the people and the products to make Masonite a better company every day," concluded Felipe.
Actions to be implemented in the future • Encourage growth through innovative products to differentiate ourselves from the competition (there are many alternatives to choose from). • Build differentiated plans and strategies for interior and exterior doors, to grow in both lines. • Improve the Shopping Experience at the point of sale, facilitating the buyer's purchase decision. • Encourage standardization and automation as key to increasing productivity.

Feedback
Surveys allow us to understand the needs of our employees and implement improvements in our organization
The application of these instruments helps us to know the opinion of our workforce, as well as to collect valuable information for decisionmaking. Keeping employees informed and having inputs to determine how well they are doing their work are some of the benefits that having good feedback from those who are part of it gives an organization.
Aware of the importance of knowing the opinion of our employees, we have recently performed various surveys, which seek to collect the feelings of our people and implement actions with the perspective of continuous improvement in our organization and whose results we will soon share with our employees.

Hugo Cruz: from Maracaibo, who always seeks the best for his family.
Born and raised in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela, Hugo Cruz's life has been marked by love for his family and constant adaptation. After the difficult situation in his country and the condition of his son, he and his family decided to settle down in Chile. At 17 years old, Hugo Cruz, currently a Production Operator at Santiago Plant, began his career as an Automotive Mechanic in Venezuela. Then, he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and worked as a Dental Medical Equipment Technician. Later, he found a new direction in the oil industry, in the area of exploration and production, specializing in welding, electricity, and industrial and wastewater treatment. Due to the economic problems of his native country, in mid-2018, his wife María and son Hugo migrated to Chile, in search of adequate health treatment for the little boy, who was born with Cytomegalovirus Syndrome. A year later, Hugo traveled to Chile to celebrate his tenth birthday with him. "I still remember when I got to the airport and my son started running, jumping and crying with happiness. It was very exciting to hug each other and see each other again," Hugo recalls. However, at the airport he was informed that he could not leave and re-enter our country, because he had entered with a tourist passport and not with a democratic visa, so he decided to stay and begin to regularize his situation to work in Chile.
Hugo working in his workplace. "The most difficult thing about being an immigrant is the adaptation, mainly in the vocabulary, because sometimes you misinterpret what in the idioms where we come from means something else and you can think that you are disrespecting someone. So, I had to think things through more and look for words to avoid misunderstandings," he emphasizes. After applying for one of our job offers, in January 2019, Hugo was selected to work as a Production Assistant in our company. "Life at Masonite is a university, because each person here is a teacher, I learn from each one of them and you always learn something new, something different to value," he says.
Reading, writing, and lots of family life In his spare time, Hugo writes and likes to read. After work, he goes to the gym, but what he enjoys the most is spending time with his son, playing with their dog Tobby who they adopted in Chile, whom they consider to be one of their family.
Walking around with his wife and son the Aguas de Ramón Natural Park, in the commune of La Reina.

Meanwhile, what he appreciates most about Masonite Chile is our commitment to the personal and professional growth of our employees. "Not only do they help customers walk through walls, but they also help us. The fact that Masonite was the first company to welcome me in Chile is an opportunity that I value and appreciate very much. Day by day, I'm learning and integrating more and more," he says. Juan Villalobos: A Man of Trajectory and Friendship at Masonite Chile
After more than 30 years working for various firms at Components Plant and 19 years being part of our history at Cutstock, his life is an example of how responsible work and meaningful relationships can enrich a person. A native of Monte Águila, Biobío region, and a graduate of the A71 Polytechnic High School, Juan Villalobos began his working life as an Electrician in Coelcha company in Monte Águila, until in 1993 he decided to change scenery and ventured to work in Andinos Plant, located in Cabrero. In that plant, which later became the property of the firm Terranova and later of Masisa, Juan held various operational positions. Later, when the facility was acquired by us, he continued to work at Cutstock as a Saw Operator. Currently, he holds the role of Lean Leader in the same place.
Witness to our history "There have been a lot of changes in these 30 years, especially in safety, which is the main thing. My teammates and I always worry about getting home safely. There is also more camaraderie, togetherness and inclusion, especially with immigrants at Santiago Plant, which helps enrich the culture of Masonite Chile," Juan points out.
Juan with his partner in Curarrehue, IX region. Along the way, he has forged solid friendships at Cutstock, highlighting the special relationship he has with Fernando Echeverría, Chop Saw Supervisor, and Jovanna Delgado, Production Assistant, whom he appreciates and mentions with great affection. He also remembers with joy the activities he has shared with his colleagues, such as the "Military Parade" that our employees performed at the plant. However, the pandemic changed his life and habits, affecting his participation in sports activities. In addition, he had to deal with a lumbar injury that, fortunately, he has managed to overcome. Juan believes that the company is constantly evolving and encourages young people to take advantage of opportunities. "Masonite is a company that changes day by day, always looking to improve. You learn every day in the company, and my advice is for new people to value the possibilities they give us here."

Junior Navarro: a resilient Venezuelan with a spirit of self-improvement
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Junior has a story of overcoming that inspires those who know him. Always looking for the best for his family and his professional growth, he has worked in different areas in his native country, also in Colombia and now in Chile. Junior Navarro, Lean Leader at Chillán Plant, grew up all his life in the city of Los Teques, Venezuela. After obtaining his degree as a Technician in Management Assistance, he continued his studies and graduated in Business Administration in Human Talent Management at the age of 22. During this stage, he worked in an insurance company, studying at night to achieve one of his goals, which, at the time, was to have a university degree. With perseverance, he became independent and trained as an insurance broker. Then he married his wife Maryhec and then he welcomed the light of his eyes, his daughter Nicole Andreina. Together with his wife, they achieved important things in their country. However, the difficult situation in Venezuela led them to emigrate to Colombia in 2017. He started a new path, working as a waiter and later managing a major restaurant chain, but the proceeds were not enough to help his family in Venezuela.
His arrival in Chile Following the recommendation of his wife's Chilean godmother, in 2019, they migrated to Chile. Here, he first worked in a hardware store and in 2021 he joined our Chillán Plant as an external staff. Thanks to his commitment and desire for growth, he was hired in our company as an Assistant.
In Los Teques, when Junior practiced baseball. "What stands out most about the company is the way they work happily, but safely. That is precisely what I appreciate the most, their culture based on safety, quality, commitment to employees and customers. I highlight everything they have achieved in these years, and you can see their commitment, coming to a company like this is a blessing," he acknowledges.
Passionate about nature and baseball Junior enjoys his free time with his daughter and his wife, exploring the beautiful landscapes of Chile. He is also a fan of baseball, a sport that represents an important part of his life in Venezuela, so much so that, although from a distance, he closely follows his favorite team, the Leones del Caracas.

Along with that, he remains hopeful of reuniting with his family in the future. "There are goals that you set yourself and want to achieve, such as going to visit them and see them. In addition, neither rushes the other, we are relaxed observing the view of the landscape, that is the spirit of the group".
Samuel Espinoza, Door Recovery Operator at Chillán Plant. "I had very little experience on a bike. And the truth is that it has been very cool because it is shared with colleagues outside of work, stress is out and sports are also practiced. The best outing was to the Hot Springs; tiring, but very comforting”.
Luis Lagos, Door Recovery Operator at Chillán Plant. "In my youth, my hobby was riding a bike and eventually I quit. By participating in these tours, I feel that I have been reborn. The group is very cheerful and charismatic, I am the eldest of them, but we all share life experiences and learn from each other".

Skin Plant Renews CARB ULEF Certification The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is the lead agency for climate change programs and oversees all air pollution control efforts in California to achieve and maintain health-based air quality standards. CARB identified formaldehyde as a toxic air pollutant (TAC) and in 2007, passed a regulation to reduce emissions of this compound from composite wood products sold, supplied, used, or manufactured for sale in California. In 2008 Masonite was certified as a supplier of Ultra Low Formaldehyde Emission (ULEF) panels, which it has maintained since then, renewing the certification every two years with the recognition of the Composite Panel Association (CPA), a certification body based in the USA. In July of this year, Masonite Chile was once again able to successfully renew its CARB certification.
We congratulate Pablo Heredia, Cecilia Salgado and Francisco Mora for their important work in the renovation achieved.

Roberto Morales, Cutstock Plant Manager, highlighted the pride of achieving these results, keeping Masonite's Safety Policy alive. "It is a celebration and recognition of our progress in our culture of safety and self-care that have led us to maintain zero accidents during this time," he said. Meanwhile, Planta Skin Cabrero achieved this goal during the month of September. Luis Vallejos, Skin Plant Manager, expressed his gratitude to all those who work in this unit. "The management performed by the entire team has allowed us to achieve the results we have today in Safety. It has been hard work, with a lot of ingenuity to innovate and not continue doing the same thing. We face difficulties many times, but it is gratifying at the same time to see that the work done pays off." He added: "This achievement also invites us to continue working and contributing, since maintaining zero accidents requires the permanent effort and commitment of each one of us.
