AswebegantheprocessofrebrandingMBEXthisyear,wedugdeeplyintothecharacteristicsofour membership.MostbusinessesjoininitiallytoaccessthePlanRoom.Butinterestingly,overtime,theycome toappreciatethetrustedpartnershipstheydevelop.Theirengagementdeepens,andtheybecome passionateadvocatesfortheExchange,givingbacktotheconstructionindustryandcommunity.
OurPlanRoomisaservicethatmembersusedaily,andoftenmultipletimesaday.Weknowhow importantthePlanRoomistoourmembers.Wealsobetterunderstandnowhowimportantweareasa hubofcollaboration.MBEXisn’tjustatechtool;it’satrustednetworkofpeerswhounderstandthatwhen peopleknowandtrusteachother,realworkgetsdone.Wemakeiteasiertofindtheworkandthepeople tosupportyourbusiness.I’vespentmycareerinAssociationmanagement,andIcantellyouthatwhatwe havehereatMBEXisspecial.
AsWillRogersoncesaid,“Evenifyou’reontherighttrack,you’llgetrunoverifyoujustsitthere.”Withthat inmind,wechargedinto2025withaneyetowardcontinuousimprovement.

Wepresentedmorethan5,000projectstotheindustryforbidconsideration(arecordnumber). Weheld15eventsreachingmorethan1,700industryprofessionals. Wewelcomed160newmembers(anotherrecordnumber).
Wesoldourofficebuildingandmovedintoanewspace,allowingourBoardtocreateanexcitingand innovativeinvestmentpolicybetterensuringtheExchange’sfuture.
Weengagedinarebrandthathashelpedusdefineourvision,mission,corevalues,keymember characteristics,keymessagesandouruniquepositioninthemarketplace.
Weaddedblueprintstoourfilteredopticalcharacter readresults(OCR),meaningyourprojectsearchfilters nowscaneveryspecificationdocumentandtextboxes onblueprints.Moreresultsforyou!
Welaunchedanewmembershipdatabase,GrowthZon You'llgraduallyseemorechangesandenhancements thatGZprovides,includinganonlinedirectoryand simplifiedannualduespayment.
WerelaunchedourYoungProfessionalsNetwork. Finally,weawarded$24,000inscholarshipsto18 deservingstudentsgoingintoconstruction.
